Wonderful property
We had a great night - the bedrooms and bathrooms are amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed and the local shop cooked us pizzas. Such a unique house - thank you!

Hidden Gem In Athol!
Mataura Lodge is such a great place to stay as it’s out of the hustle of Queenstown but only a short 40 minute drive away! This quirky and beautifully decorated place was comfortable and a great place to stay if you had a family or couples. Our only downfall was that the lodge needs a big ‘spring clean’ to make it a more pleasurable stay. The windows were very dirty inside and out and lots of cobwebs everywhere.

Quaint little place, beds are comfy and lots of blankets. Warning the handle to fire gets hot and will burn your hand. We were guttered it was a spa bath and not a hot tub.

Country Lodge
A return visit to this charming and well presented lodge. On arrival the fire was lit, and once the afternoon sun had disappeared from the verandah, we enjoyed a cozy evening inside, with there being plenty of space for 6 adults to gather. Highly recommend a stay here.
