Welcome To Holladay's Hideaway. Nestled In The Tall Pines Above Alto Lake.
Whether you are looking for an adventure or just a quiet, peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you will find what you are looking for at Holladay's Hideaway.
Built in 1987 this is an older home. People love the tustic cabin feel nestled in the tall pines of Alto on the north side of Ruidoso. Hideaway is within walking distance to Alto Lake and minutes from Ski Apache. Snow Skiing, Hiking, Fishing, Golfing, Horse racing, Gambling, Shopping or simply relaxing under the tall pines, you will never run out of things to do at Hideaway.
Hideaway has parking for 2 cars and a few stairs lead down to the front entrance. You enter on the main level into the dining and kitchen area. The kitchen features modern appliances and granite counter tops. We have full sized front load washer and dryer to keep your clothes clean for your next adventure. A large living area, master bedroom, with king bed and bath are also located on the main level.
The second level, recently updated, enters into a large loft area that has a day bed for the little ones or place to escape your snoring partner. There is also a large bedroom with king sized bed. A full bath room is conveniently located next to the common area. There is a great catwalk that leads you from the loft to a private upstairs deck, a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. Please note that chains may be needed on two-wheel drive vehicles in the winter.

This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your escape in paradise.

This is our 2nd time to say at this particular VRBO. We love this little A-frame! It's the perfect size for us girls and we love sitting on the deck. It's close to Mid-town Ruidoso, so that's also a big plus.

Gas leak
When we arrived there was a gas leak, Chad did get someone out there. They had to replace a hose with a crack that was leaking gas. ( this could have gone horrible for my family in many ways) Had a headache for the day after the smell, had to air out the house for a few hours when it was freezing and wait to turn everything on again and hope everything was ok and we didn’t smell gas anymore. We waisted a day on getting a home ready that should have been ready when we got there.

We did not cook but there was plenty of cookware. The beds were firm. I think we went to sleep In minutes. The furniture was comfortable. The scenery was beautiful from the deck. The only problem I had was my own fault for not checking. I needed a walk in shower. I am 80 years old. I look like it would be perfect stay to go skiing.

Always a pleasure to stay here. We love it so much. Being able to feed deer and wild horses right off our hands, to the lake so close and walking around the neighborhood is exactly what we like to do when in this property. Never fails to have great adventures when there.
