Reception closes at 8. This was fine as a lock box is provided, but my door key was wrong. So I called the after hours who sent security eventually, no real empathy for my situation or attempt at any other solution. Then I couldn’t leave my room as I had no way of getting back in. So no dinner for me. My room was unclean, though modern. Toenails on the floor beside the bed and a few chips in the bed under the bottom sheet for good measure. Overall not impressed. The café downstairs was brilliant. Barkeeper was sympathetic to my situation (unable to help with the key as he’s not hotel staff) and gave me a glass of wine while I waited for security and breakfast was excellent. Obviously an entirely different business to the hotel.

Parking is a bit of an issue and have to park in nearby business but. Red to move vehicles very early

Out of the way but nice little hotel. Very limited parking (15 bays for almost 90 rooms) onsite, having to park in the open ?public car park. Didn’t get our room clean everyday, not sure if that’s the norm for staying 11 days.
