An alpine-style chalet in beautiful woods in southern Tuscany, this property combines the best of two worlds. This chalet for 8 people allows guests to relax in nature, hike through the woodlands around Monte Amiata and also explore some of the historic gems of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.
Spread over two floors, the house features wood paneling, wooden floors and furniture. The spacious living room on the ground floor, includes a sofa, armchairs, a Smart TV and an open fireplace. An attractive wooden staircase leads up to the first floor. The separate dining room has an antique wooden table and chairs and a bar for making cocktails. French windows lead out to the fenced garden. The semi-open kitchen is separated by a half wall, which acts as a breakfast bar. The modern kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. Another set of French windows in the kitchen leads out to the garden.
The chalet’s fenced garden has mature trees which add welcome shade during the summer months. There is an outside dining area and BBQ on the terrace outside the front door for relaxed meals al fresco.

Location
The house is wonderfully placed for visitors to explore southern Tuscany and northern Lazio. The unique, medieval town of Abbadia San Salvatore (10 minutes) offers a range of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as some fascinating historical sites. The town has a market on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Here you can find the best local ingredients to cook at home.
The delightful city of Orvieto (1 hour 10 mins), makes a wonderful day trip. It is most famous for its stunning cathedral and its fine white wine. The smaller, quieter town of Bolsena on Lake Bolsena (1 hour) is also a lovely outing.
Perugia International Airport is 1 hour and 50 minutes away.
