Description

Discover an adventurous region of archaeological wonders and sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea on this guided tour of Tulum. Soar over the jungle canopy on a zipline, rappel into a stunning cenote, and swim in an underground river before savoring an authentic Mexican lunch.

Your day begins as you’re picked up from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. Once you reach the captivating archaeological site of Tulum, explore the crumbling ruins of this legendary archaeological site. Afterward head to the top of the ziplining course to slip into a harness and soak up the views of the Caribbean's glassy blue waters as you soar past the jungle's treetops.

Next, trek through the tropical jungle to rappel down into a freshwater cenote, where you can spend some time swimming among the stalactites and stalagmites. Learn how this underground waterway was formed, and then sit down to recharge with a feast of traditional Mexican dishes before heading back to your hotel.

We paid to experience the zip lining and we were told that too many people were zip lining so we had to wait and do other activities until zip lining belts were available. It was time to go and our choice was to wait longer to zip line and we could only do 3 of the 7 zip lines or not do it all together. Rather than make our group wait for us, we chose to leave without zip lining. It was terribly disappointing for my family. The rest of the tour - Tulum and the underground cave were spectacular.

The guide was great. No issues there. Their marketing and actual day are two different things. You will not do the activities in the way they are listed online. You might zipline first, cenote first or go to the ruins first. It’s all at their discretion. Bring flip flops if you’re going to wear comfortable shoes and extra clothes. Zipline is ok. Nothing special. Cenote is cool but isn’t long enough. You’re in the cenote for maybe 10 mins. The repelling is a waste of time. You climb a tower and go down to the ground to nothing special or noteworthy. The worst part had to be the Mayan experience. In all do respect to the guides, nobody cares or wants to spend 30-40 minutes of their time in the Maya ruins listening to someone speak broken english in the heat and humidity with no shade. Tons of people as well. Huge tourist trap. Lunch was pretty good however. Little kids would probably really enjoy it, but for an adult who wants some adventure. Try doing something else.
