Overview

This experience is for a minimum of two people.
Teresa was born in Syracuse and grew up here with her family. Teresa will guide you throughout the experience from beginning to end and will be a practical course of medium difficulty.
At the market you will discover the local traditions,Teresa will explain curiosities about food, basic recipes and you can taste small portions of local food.
Cook & Enjoy (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) : With the ingredients we have selected at the market we will cook three traditional family dishes.The food will be fresh and the recipes will be seasonal.
The Menu will be personalized if you request it.At Teresa's Villa you will also discover Sicilian hospitality.
By booking this experience you will have a family recipe book as a gift to cook like a Sicilian . Two new apartments are available to host you in Ortigia.Ask for info.

At 10 a.m. Cooking class: With your teacher Teresa you cook three traditional Sicilian recipes. The ingredients are fresh and seasonal.
At 8.30 ortigia market tour: At the market you will visit the area reserved for food. IT will be a walk to discover ingredients, stories and recipes.

Teresa invites you to immerse yourself in an authentic Sicilian gastronomic and cultural experience!Follow me on Instagram :_zimmittiteresa_italy_ The experience takes place in two parts. Transportation during the experience has a cost of €20 cash per person ..Meeting point : We will meet at 8 : 45 at the Ortigia market (Burgio Salumeria), located near the port where cruise ships dock. Ortigia market tour (8 : 45 - 9 : 45) Enjoy a delightful walk through the lively market,Shopping food,discovering local flavors, basic recipes,tasting Sicilian specialties and learning about fresh and preserved food .15 minutes by car there is my Villa in the seaside area where the lesson will take place .In the second part of the experience we will prepare a traditional lunch using some of the fresh ingredients selected at the market, and savor the delicious dishes you've created. This is a convivial experience and is perfect for couples, families or small groups. Ask about an accommodation if it is useful for you.From December the lessons will also take place in my winter’s apartment near Ortigia. Ask for information, if you are interested.
