Description

Indulge in an unforgettable full-day premium small group tour of the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. Soak up the breathtaking scenery and immerse yourself in the ecological history of the region as you cruise Captain Cook Highway, with stops for an electric boat ride and a stroll along the beach.

Get picked up from your Cairns hotel and head north along the Captain Cook Highway toward Queensland's Wet Tropics World Heritage Area—a World Heritage site with 3,452 square miles (8,941 sq km) of lush forest. Along the way, visit Port Douglas and sample morning tea and scones with fresh whipped cream, jam, and honey at Mossman Gorge.

Then, venture into Daintree National Park for a guided hike through dense tropical flora. Breathe in the fresh rainforest air and take a dip in the cool waters of Mossman River before enjoying lunch in North Queensland. Next, explore the meandering Daintree River via electric boat. Keep your eyes peeled for estuarine crocodile during your journey.

Back in the van, motor north toward Cape Tribulation. At Cape Tribulation Beach, absorb mesmerizing views of Mount Sorrow and the Great Barrier Reef. Finally, return to Cairns. Stop for ice cream at the Daintree Ice Cream Factory along the way, treating yourself to a concoction of sweet cream and seasonal fruits.

Simon our guide shared a lot of his knowledge on the rainforest and ecology and biodiversity in general. I learbed something new... and not just something interesting, but something I can take back and act on to be more environmentally responsible.
