What you can expect
Combine spectacular scenery, ancient sights, and biblical history on an edifying tour along the Aegean coast. Follow in the footsteps of St. Paul as you visit ancient Corinth with its archaeological remains, see the impressive canal, and admire Athens' illustrious sights on a driving tour.
Leave Athens and travel west to ancient Corinth. Pause for the remarkable view of the Corinth Canal, with sheer walls leading into the milky blue canal only 70 feet (21 m) wide at the base. Then hear from your guide how St. Paul—the apostle of the Gentiles—lived and preached here for 2 years and wander around historic remains of edifices including the Agora, temples, and everyday buildings.
Back in Athens set off on a driving tour of its major sights including the Parliament, St. Paul's Church, the National Garden, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Then learn a little about Greece's sporting heritage at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern-day Olympics were staged in 1896.
Pick up the trail of St. Paul once more at the Acropolis and Mars Hill, where the apostle delivered a famous sermon, before your last stop at Plaka, a famously picturesque district under the slopes of the Acropolis and Agora. Wander the scenic paths and walkways decorated with overhanging vines to see locations where St. Paul met followers to discuss philosophies.
