The adventure begins with roundtrip airconditioned coach transportation to St. Louis Cemetery No. 1—the oldest Roman Catholic cemetery in New Orleans and the final resting place of some of the Crescent City's most famous (and infamous) residents. Learn the true stories behind historical figures like high priestess Marie Laveau, the renowned Voodoo queen of New Orleans.

Travel back in time to the late 1700s and delve into the intriguing lore that shaped New Orleans' mystical identity. Licensed tour guides help you explore cemetery haunts like the tomb of Voodoo queen Marie Laveau and teach you about unique Creole burial customs.

As you walk among the tombs, discover the significance behind the Creole tradition of above-ground burials, and find out the strange and curious origins of terms like “saved by the bell” and “graveyard shift.” At the end of your tour, your guide leaves you with a gris-gris, a souvenir bag inspired by the traditional amulets and charms of New Orleans' Voodoo practitioners.

Not much about Voodoo. The history of Cemetery was great The person leading the group, needs to stay more on subject and less about herself

Our tour guide, Mary Dugas, was funny and informative. Very knowledgeable and due to our experience for this tour, we took the ghost tour at night and she was our guide again.

Very informative, although you may have to say good bey to your movie-made idea of voodoo. The tour is less about this religion, but more about the cemetery and the people resting there, anyway.
