What you can expect

This full-day tour allows you to straddle the Northern and Southern hemispheres at the Mitad del Mundo, which sprawls across the equator. Stand before the massive Monument to the Equator, visit the Intiñan Museum where you can see many fascinating experiments, and go rappelling through the jungle.

Leave your Quito hotel behind as you climb aboard transportation that whisks you away to the equator. Tour the complex of monuments spread across the Northern and Southern hemispheres including the Monument to the Equator, which highlights the exact location of this imaginary line bisecting the planet in 2 halves.

Stop by the Intiñan Museum, where you can participate in several experiments which include everything from water flowing in different directions, to an egg balancing on a nail. Your guide explains many of the various phenomena that occurs near the equator. End your day by heading east to enjoy extreme outdoor activities like climbing through the tree canopy, gliding on a Tarzan swing, and ziplining down a valley before returning to your hotel.
