Description

Delve into the Manuel Antonio National Park with a day-long excursion to explore its pristine beaches, jungle trails, and coastal cliffs. Keep an eye out for sloths and monkeys as you hike the jungle trails, and soak up the sun and scenery as you swim over the coral reefs.

After being picked up from your hotel, ride along seaside cliffs and through fields of African palms. Pass by beachside villages, and then trek into the park to explore its flora, fauna, and beautiful scenery. Enjoy the white-sand beaches and venture out into the waves to snorkel. Offshore, watch for playful dolphins leaping in the water.

If you’re interested in hiking, set off after lunch for an adventure along the jungle trails that wind through this coastal haven. Admire the lush, tropical greenery and keep your eyes peeled for a variety of monkeys, birds, iguanas, and even three-toed sloths lazing in the jungle canopy. Venture out across the thin strip of land to Cathedral Point—the view looking back at the seaside park is a perfect snapshot of paradise.

The actual Manuel Antonio national park was great. The food that was catered for the day is not very vegan or vegetarian friendly. The food was not great, and as a vegan all i had was some fruit for a 16 hour day. The bus picked me up at 6am, then we eventually reached Manuel Antonio at noon, not the perfect time to see the animals as it was too hot, and the animals dont come out much that time. We spent a total of 3 hours in the park. We left for the day to head back to our respective hotels and because it was already late, they put us on different buses to reach home. Got home after 10pm... tour stated that it wouls have been a 12 hour day, but it was much longer (on the bus rather than doing any activities or exploring). All in all, i won't do the tour again, but i will recommend visiting the park and maybe getting one of their guides.

This was a wonderful place to visit - but from San Jose it is a long way for a day trip. I would suggest staying the night in Quepos! And maybe making your own way down there by bus- paying extra for this tour is not completely necessary. Also, there are really good things to talk included on the tour as well - the guide was wonderful, the food offered on the tour was excellent, the wildlife and knowledge of our guide was a added bonus. However, length of time and comfort of the transportation was enough to make it seem like The trip wasn’t worth it. The seats were very small on the bus (even for me a small person) and over 7 hours in them is enough to have a bitter taste in your mouth:(

I love my tour guide Lee.. he is so good in what he does, very knowledgeable. I love nature but the travel time was a very long one, so when we arrived, we are tired already. Food provided was good. We saw couple of monkeys here and there, and a sloth that was way above the tree. The beach time was so short like an hour- all the time spent was the travel time from San Jose to the park. Not the travel agency's fault though because that's the way it is-- long travel time
