The Jinshanling Great Wall, located in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, spans approximately 10.5 kilometers along the Jinshan Mountain range‌17. Situated 130 kilometers northwest of Beijing, it marks the boundary between Beijing and Hebei Province‌7. This section of the Great Wall was initially constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) under the military strategist Qi Jiguang, who oversaw extensive renovations to enhance its defensive capabilities‌7. Its strategic importance stemmed from its role in protecting Beijing from northern invasions‌.
