What you can expect

Chase the sunset through the Grand Canyon with an expert guide leading the way on a comprehensive tour. En route, you se the Cameron Trading Post and expansive views of the Little Colorado River Gorge and Painted Desert. Then, take time to explore the East and South rims of the canyon before sunset.

Your first stop on the way to the Grand Canyon is at the historic Cameron Trading Post, where you have the opportunity to browse Native American artwork and shop for souvenirs. As you drive into the Grand Canyon's east entrance from Navajo Nation territories, you see the Little Colorado River Gorge and the western edge of the Painted Desert. Stop at the Desert View Watchtower for an even better view of these 2 landmarks.

Continue to Grand Canyon Village on the canyon's South Rim. Here, you find the park’s central buildings including El Tovar, Hopi House, and Bright Angel Lodge, having ample free time to explore the village or to walk along the paved rim trail. Later, enjoy dinner at the Grand Canyon Village, one of the fine restaurants located inside of the Bright Angel Lodge (please note: Arizona Room is not available in January & February).

Then comes the grand finale—the sunset. The beauty of the ever-changing colors as the fading light is chased by shadows across the deep ravine is a simply breathtaking sight. Watch as the sun sinks behind the western rim of the canyon with one final burst of burning colors enhanced by the clouds dotting the sky.
