If it is Wednesday, it’s Gospel in Harlem. A 60-minute concert at a neighborhood historic Black church. This is not a church service with sermon, but an hour of inspirational gospel, spirituals an praise with choir. Visitors are invited to join in the robust, lively musical fellowship.

You will visit a local Black historic church, one of the neighborhood's cherished churches known for its ministry and social justice work in the community. Founded in 1942, this church has hosted many local and national leaders including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who visited whenever he was in New York City. Step inside this hallowed place to hear the inspirational sounds of its gospel choir. As the powerful voices reverberate off the walls, feel the sense of unity and camaraderie that the choir provides.
