by Arizona Tour & Travel Duration 10h 30m Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is $285

Embark on a relaxing rafting tour where you drift lazily down the stunning Colorado River with an expert guide steering the boat. Begin with a scenic and narrated ride from the sunny city of Flagstaff. Then, take a 3.5-hour trip down the Colorado River, see petroglyphs, and have lunch by the river.

The excursion takes you by the dormant volcanoes of the San Francisco Peaks and through the Navajo Nation territory. Upon your arrival in Page, Arizona, head through an impressive 2-mile (3.2-km) tunnel through the walls of Glen Canyon before you reach the base of the Glen Canyon Dam.

Sit back and relax as your guide leads you down the Colorado River on a journey by colorful rock formations, and keep an eye out for ancient Native American petroglyphs and wildlife. After hearing tidbits about folklore and history, stop for an easy hike to get a closer look at the petroglyphs and enjoy lunch along the banks of the river.

Your 15.5-mile (25-km) float trip ends at Marble Canyon and Lee's Ferry, home to buildings of early pioneers. On your way back, pass the Echo Cliffs while crossing the Navajo Nation territory. Then, stop at the Cameron Trading Post to shop for souvenirs and see a variety of rare Native American art at The Gallery. Lunch is included.

The rafting trip was fantastic. Although I was told to take everything in a clear plastic bag becsuse of security, you are able to take a purse, backpack, etc which will be checked before getting on the raft. The pilot of the raft made sure everyone could see the key sites and gave vety good background information. Our driver, Charlie went out of his way to personalize our trip to the Grand Canyon which we will take in the next few days. Perhaps there should be signs suggesting tipping the driver because some people don`t know that the drivers depend on tips.
