Description

Explore the stunning alpine scenery of Chamonix, in the French Alps. Ride the cable car to the top of the peak, Aiguille du Midi, and gaze over one of the world’s largest mountain ranges, spread over 3 countries. Hop aboard the red mountain train to reach France's largest glacier, the Mer de Glace.

Cross over the border from Switzerland to France as you head to Chamonix, nestled in a leafy valley at the foot of Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc. Be dazzled by the towering snow-capped mountains, soaring peaks, and thick fir trees as your tour climbs higher to reach the picturesque village.

Jump aboard the cable car to the top of Aiguille du Midi, a peak soaring 12,600 feet (3,842 m) into the crisp mountain air. Enjoy some free time to take in the breathtaking panoramic views and to explore the village at your own pace. End your day by taking the scenic Montenvers rack railway line to Mer de Glace, France’s longest glacier stretching for 4.3 miles (7 km).

Amazing views but you definitely need way more time than they give you. Otherwise you cannot see everything there is too see. If the time of return was 7 or 8 pm it would make the experience that much better. Niel the tour guide was friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Guide and driver were excellent. Views spectacular. Dissapointed the cable cars were out of service so we missed a vital part of the trip but we were given a partial refund. We were not advised pre booking this was not operational for the day we booked however this was not due to the operator but Expedia. The day was still good and the views from the train and at the top were absolutely amazing
