Oh, how jealous we’ll be of you as you explore a whimsical Tokyo dipped in pastel pink! You’ll spend time with one of our hosts, who will take you out picnicking under the sakura (cherry blossoms) in your very own hanami (cherry blossom viewing) party. Depending on where the best blossoms are at the time of your viewing, your host will decide on two hanami locations for you, including both a famous park like Shinjuku Gyoen National Park, as well as a small garden and shrine. Begin your adventure into the senses by picking out your picnic snacks together in a nearby depachika (underground food hall). This is a great way to try a broad array of Japanese food - but be sure to grab some sakura mochi - delicious pink rice cakes wrapped in sakura leaves (and surprisingly, it’s also where you can find some exceptional sushi). These are the sweet treats of spring in Japan! Perhaps you’d like to view the blossoms whilst floating down a tranquil moat or even at night, but if you like where you are, stay, eat and chat to your host about the traditions of hanami as you enjoy this fleeting but enchanting time of year together.

Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place.
