Sunset magic

Gorgeous place a few issues with cleaning bathrooms needed scrubbing floors around the toilet one tile by the tub was extremely loose handle on microwave was broken and they tried to glue it.. parental code on main tv in upstairs living room was blocking every channel And no one called me back regarding that situation cleaners need to vacuum under cushions of sofa Other than that we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place two more things the dryer vent is packed and needs to be properly cleaned out and I recommend having a professional clean the heating ducts those cold mornings were met with a burning hair smell and we quickly turned off.

Great cabin! Hated to leave

Check in process was easy. House is beautiful and had plenty of room for the 10 of us. Our water turned off twice while we were there. They were quick to get someone out to fix it. Apparently a pump switch went out. Was given a 10% refund for the inconvenience. It was back on within an hour. The place looked like it hadn’t been stayed in for awhile. There was dust on things and dead bugs in the windows and in the bathtubs. One side of the couch in the living room has broken springs where you sink on that side. Be prepared to drive some scary steep, winding roads to get to the house. It’s far up on the mountain. But that means the views are incredible! We loved the two decks and the many chairs to enjoy the outside. One evening we had a family of 5 black bears in the backyard. We enjoyed watching them safely from our deck. Overall we had a great week and would come back again!

Nice location, needs updating and a good cleaning.

Overall it is a nice location. We were visited by bears every morning and evening. The property is a bit outdated. It’s not very stocked with essentials such as hot pads, flashlight (the power went out), lighter for grill, etc. sheets and comforters had holes in them. The deck is not safe, a lot of the spindles are loose. Communication with the property manager was not friendly. There is no trash service so anything that doesn’t fit in the can, you need to take miles away to their office location. Again, we loved the location and seeing bears but definitely not well kept as the pictures indicate.

Twisty Curvy Bears

All ages loved this place. Location was ideal for going to attractions in town or doing things in the Park. The road in and out was very twisty/curvy, had to really pay attention. Should be better signs on how to get to cabin. Beware -Bears every day, even on both decks. We had to sit so we could watch both corners of deck because they came up everywhere. 10 year old ran inside and left breakfast dish on the table, bear finished his breakfast. Enjoyed hot tub. No sharing of bathrooms. Only thing with a group of 12, we could've used another refrig.. Nice having washer/dryer on site. We would return yearly if it wasn't so far to travel. Enough seating for meals. This place was ideal for our group of friends. One of the nicest we've rented so far.

Sunset Magic did not disappoint

The house was beautiful, clean and very well maintained. My family of 9 had plenty of room to sleep, play games and relax. Mike was very responsive to any questions I had. We plan on returning next year for our annual family vacation.

Not for large families

This property was EXTREMELY well maintained and cleaned. It was a great property. Bears are active in the area. A bear tried to climb in the truck bed within 10 mins of us unloading. Drive to cabin is mountainous but doable once you get use to the drive. Only disappointment was the number of beds on the property does not equate to the number of guests allowed to stay. When I searched for property I searched by beds/bedrooms. This property has 4 king beds (8 adults), 3 Queen/full beds (6 adults) and 1 twin (1 kid). We had 7 adults, 8 kids ages 3-9 and 2 infants in pack and plays. This property had enough beds to accommodate us, 15 people, as the kids were sharing beds and the infants didn’t need beds. Unfortunately, the property owner does not allow more than 12 people PERIOD. Infants are counted in the total and we were unable to all stay at this property and had to rent a different property for part of our stay. I wish they allowed the number of guests for the number of beds in the property. Other than that I had no complaints and would rent again if we had less people.

Family reunion

We had 11 all together, from 12-67. everyone enjoyed the cabin. With the most beautiful view. Not everyone in my family like to all do the same things. So it worked out for us all, with option in town, and so close to pigeon forge. The only complaint I would say, is that we didn’t get to use their pool, because of the inconvenient location. But that’s what you get when you book a mountain cabin. Also the hot tub, perfect temperature. But by the 3rd day, it wasn’t very clean with that many people in and out. The Air hockey table didn’t work well at all, but there was a pool table, for fun. And don’t forget your cleaning products dish soap, hand soap and paper towel. And bring extra toilet paper. Great time, great cabin, great host!

Amazing Cabin with beautiful views

We took a trip to the smokies to visit Dollywood and Gatlinburg and my kids really wanted to stay in a log cabin. My reservation with another provider was cancelled the day we were arriving so we had to scramble - luckily we stumbled upon this gem. This a bit of a crazy drive up winding road into the hills but the cabin was fantastic and the views were beautiful. It's a little remote for accessing restaurant food, but we cooked in the well equipped kitchen. The drive to Dollywood was totally manageable and the access to the smokies was great, we took back roads to Gatlinburg and discovered beautiful trails and picnic spots along the way. Highly recommend if you want a stay that a little away from the tourist spots and neon lights.

Adventurous Experience

We had an amazing experience at the cabin! Unfortunately, the weather gave us some setbacks, but Cove Mountain realty was always very attentive and EXTREMELY helpful in getting us comfortable and informing us of any updates! Will definitely book with them again! :-)

Cabin with a view!

This cabin was perfect for our family! It could use a little updating especially with the double bedroom downstairs, the mattresses need an update. Also, the kitchen could use some better quality knives and pans. I realize not everyone likes to utilize the cabin for meals, but we do and the poor quality made it difficult to prepare meals Overall though the nitpicking aside, it's a wonderful view, comfortable cabin, and an amazing experience!

Motorcycle Rally Stay

The house property was OUTSTANDING! We thoroughly enjoyed the house itself and the amenities. There did seem to be a lot of "posty note" signs informing of what to do/not do. I suppose host experience of some guests warrants that. Not a big deal though...just stood out. The real bummer--THIS PLACE IS NOT MOTORCYCLE RIDE FRIENDLY. Holy cow, the ride up to the site was treacherous via the Manis Rd route. The Line Springs Rd route was rough the last 1/2-1/4 mile prior to arrival or departure. Extreme hills and re-donculous switch-backs--get on the throttle! The gravel parking driveway was extremely dangerous for motorcycles. Loose gravel created the NEED to spot each rider in/out of the serious sloped gravel covered grade into the parking area. It just wasn't comfortable and safe for motorcycles. We didn't park there after the first day. To the defense of the hosts, we didn't ask questions about the motorcycle friendly part but nothing we read inclined us to do so. Satellite images of the house/site/drive up/down do not define the extreme switch-backs on the Manis route or the serious incline hills via the Line Springs route. If in a car, this place would be all good by far.

Family Vacation

We came up for a long weekend and really enjoyed the cabin. The road to get to the house was a little crazy, but not awful. Throughly enjoyed the adolescent bear we saw in the yard!

We had a great time Easter weekend while staying at this cabin.

A cabin with beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in Pigeon Forge area. We were just disappointed we didn’t see a bear in cabin area!

It was ok but very disappointing

the size of the cabin was great for our needs however there were several light bulbs out in every room, the entire cabin was dirty, pans & dishes were dirty and found in the cabinets, pool table felt is torn up and cues broken - unable to use table, beds are terrible, outdated and worn furniture and bedspreads, this cabin could be fantastic if the property was maintained properly. We stay in a lot of cabins and this one felt like a cheap hotel. Disappointing but we still had a good time - we made the best of it. It sure could use a good cleaning, new beds, bedspreads, pillows and new towels. Based on how these cabin was maintained, we are not interested in renting through Cove Mountain again.

Beautiful Cabin, Amazing Views

Our team had such a great time at Sunset Magic! The cabin was fantastic, with the perfect layout for our group. Lots of others spoke of the drive up. It was kind of scary the first time up, but other reviewers were a little dramatic I think. It's not that bad. Definitely worth it once you get to the top. That sunset view really is magical!
