Good, but not great
Let me start off by saying the place was clean, quiet, and as pictured. Initially, the host was responsive. There was a back-and-forth regarding a service dog and after we had checked in noticed a few small issues (a towel bar that looked ready to fall off the wall, a loose toilet seat, and the coffee maker that seemed clogged) that were quickly addressed and responded to.
A little later in our stay, we found out the hard way that the oven's thermometer or heating element wasn't working properly and we ended up having to throw away the items we were attempting to cook. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, but there were no pans for use in the oven. We made the host aware of the oven issue, but never received a response.
While we felt the place was clean and good value, it just didn't feel attended to. There were many scuff marks on most of the walls, the floor lamp by the door or the light bulb was malfunctioning, and there was evidence of a full-length mirror that use to be mounted to the wall but just the brackets remained. A few small tweaks and I would be good to stay here again.
The location was convenient for me, but it wasn't the Design District, as indicated, but Upper Buena Vista. No problem for me, just thought it was worth mentioning.
