Golf trip

Needed a place for 2 nights as we were arriving early for an annual week long golf trip (36 guys this year). The unit was in the same cluster of homes that we always stay in for the following week. Worked out great. Easy last minute reservation.

Horrible

For 2 weeks we dealt with infestation of bugs. Constant spraying didn’t work. We were unable to cook any meals. All our food had to be thrown out. Bugs were in the dishwasher, even after running it. Bugs were on the refrigerator door snd cooktop. Bugs on the walls. Just disgusting. The carpet was filthy. They had to send out cleaners to do the entire condo carpet. The a/c was cold on the first floor then the 2 upper levels were hot. We couldn’t even try to cook outside seeing there wasn’t a grill. The kitchen is sparse. Had to buy a pan to make brownies.

Poorly maintained.

This property could be great if they would clean it throughly, regularly replace the mildewy, gross shower liners, fix lamps that don’t work, put a tub plug in, fix the broken microwave door handle, clean the very badly stained carpets, and fix the closet doors. Also, the description said we would have a gas grill and instead we had a very old, rusted kettle grill that was totally unacceptable for use. This greatly hindered our vacation because we had to eat out every single night instead of grilling several nights and staying in. It gets expensive eating out with a large family every night. The only good thing about this unit is the great location and convenient access to HarbourTown. Some serious maintenance issues need to be addressed on a regular basis, though. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again.

Nice Unit but needs a little updating and maintenance

Somewhat out dated fixtures. Unit was overdue on Pest treatment as we battled palmettos bugs throughout our stay. Master bedroom mattress is OLD and broken down. Very uncomfortable. In the heat of the summer, the AC has a hard time cooling the third floor.

June Vacation

The condo is a good place that was mostly clean. Great location in walking distance from Harbour Town. The pool is nice but not very close to the condo. We did have some issues with bugs and the garbage disposal didn’t work which produced a smell until we covered the drain. Good space for the price.

Roaches and dirty dishes and bath linens

We paid entirely too much for a unit that had roaches and previously used washcloths hanging over two of the shower curtains. The glassware was very dingy and bowls had dried food on the sides. I had to run the dishes through the diswasher before we could use them. In addition the male that "cleaned" the unit was rude and sat at the unit until the 4 o'clock check-in to ensure we didn't go in early. This was after the front desk said we could go in early (as soon as it was cleaned.) I will never stay at this unit again.

Unit was an easy walk to Harbor Town

Unit was an easy walk to Harbor Town and the main tennis facility. We probably would have preferred to have been in the tennis villas so we could have had free access to tennis courts. The bike rental was very convenient and their staff was quite helpful. The villa was as advertised, but would have liked a larger outdoor table and chairs as we had 8 people. The wifi needs upgrading as service was a problem if you use apple devices. All in all an older villa in a great location reasonably priced.

My wife and children and I have traveled to HH several times. This is unquestionably the worst property we have stayed in. The carpet was filthy, there were broken door locks,; missing blinds; multiple burned out lights; and a generally dirty house. All of these were made known to Wyndham Properties. After > 48 hours they sent a handyman who actually berated my daughter and made menacing comments to her. ALL of this was made known to Wyndham-- they finally sent another handyman who fixed fewer than half of the items-- the font door lock was not repaired. Wyndham promised to compensate us for this-- they decided that having a Maid Service come over and clean the kitchen was FAIR AND ADEQUATE COMPENSATION. I have stayed at multiple Wyndham Properties/Hotels in the past without ANY complaints-- this place was a dud and Wyndham has refused to live up to its duties to its patrons! SHAME on them for such disregard!

Upstairs stayed hot at times. Especially at night. Bed frame in master bedroom was dangerously exposed. Towel racks in master bath was not secure. Bed bug infested villa.

We went down as a family of 7 to Hilton Head, SC in Mid August 2017. Booked a villa in Sea Pines through VRBO for a week. The property is managed by a large vacation rental company and all our interactions were therefore not with an owner but with this company. After the first night we woke up on Sunday to find our child completely covered with bed bug bites and bugs clearly visible on the sheets of his room. We took pictures which are geolocated and can thus be tracked to the villa on that date and time. Thus, no denying it. We went to the the vacation rental company's location on Hilton Head and asked to see the Manager. Unfortunately, neither the Customer Services Manager nor the GM were available. We turned in the keys to the villa and spent the rest of the day searching for alternative accommodations. 15% of our vacation is now spent moving from the bug infested villa to a new place, which cost me over 20% more. On Monday, I get a call from the Guest Services lady. She tells me that they are dispatching a pest control company to verify. I told her I have pictures, which she asked me to send to her, and I did. Later, I get a call from her to tell us that the pest control company found nothing! And, now they are dispatching yet another company, completely forgetting that we have pictures of bugs on their linen in their villa - which can be geolocated to their property! Two days later, the lady sends me an email that they will be returning our money, but will charge us for the night we spent there!! So, we have ended up paying for a bed bug infested night ; no compensation for the extra money I had to pay at the last minute for alternative accommodations; and no compensation for ruining 15% of our vacation.

Great Location; Disappointed in Condo

While the location was terrific, we were disappointed in the accommodations. We had to have the maintenance folks out the first day to secure the stripping between the foyer and the carpeted LR/DR and to fix the sliding glass door so it would lock. There were no household supplies and while we didn't expect things for the entire stay, we usually would have a limited supply of dishwasher detergent, paper towels and laundry detergent. Cooking was challenging as there were no oven mitts or dish towels. The beds were less than comfortable and the carpet was particularly dirty. The third floor bedrooms had ceiling fans but no other rooms did. The skylight window in one of the third floor bedrooms had blinds but no way to open or close them. I was surprised to see such positive reviews after witnessing it myself firsthand. It was average or below average compared to other places I have stayed at in Sea Pines. Needs some updating and TLC. The response from maintenance was quick which was appreciated.

Outstanding Rental!

From the moment we stepped in the door, we were blown away! The location is top notch and walking distance to the Harbour Town community, playground, beach area and more. The rental had everything we needed and a grill. The pool area was perfect. The kids all loved it and we will definitely come back again!

Comfortable and close to Harbor Town. We enjoyed the pool!

The kitchen was small, had some difficulty with the blinds and there were carpet stains. Overall we enjoyed the cleanliness and close proximity of the pool.

Large, comfortable townhouse, but with a few issues

We always enjoy staying in Harbourtown, and this townhouse is perfectly located right next to the bike path, very close to the tennis courts, lighthouse, playground, etc. The unit itself is pretty basic, with especially the kitchen looking a little dated and rough. We did have some issues with the vertical blinds in the living room and the master bedroom, and also the sliding door in the living room. Despite several calls to the property management office, these issues were never resolved. So, overall, we enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with the fact that our concerns were never addressed.

The condo is in a great location in walking distance to Harbour Town. Condo can accommodate a large group but is in need of a little TLC. If you don't mind a condo that is stuck in the 80's this unit is for you.

Great condo for the location & price!

The location is excellent! Close to tons of amenities; pool, bike trails, tennis courts, restaurants, shopping and more. It's also located on the nicest area of the island, which most people have to pay to enter. We would definitely book this property again!
