this was the most cozy, beautiful little beach house. It was very clean. The host was very easy to get in contact with. It's in a great neighborhood. All the locals are so sweet and it's located in a perfect spot right across the street from the beach. we had a wonderful vacation and we will definitely be back every year!!!

Cool house

My wife and I really liked the charm of the house, we both grew up in 100 year old homes. The location is really good, can walk to the beach and easy access to the main road. There are two issues that should be addressed immediately. First, my wife is disabled, so the step in shower was priority. While it is a very cute shower, it is extremely slippery, and has NO grab bars. Second, the boards on the front porch are broken and rotten and need to be replaced IMMEDIATELY, especially in front of the door! Parking was not fun. The gate post to the driveway is completely rusted through and should be replaced. Our rental vehicle was a very tight fit in the drive, but that cannot be changed. The kitchen was not very well stocked, even the dishes were put in two different cabinets so it looked like more. I found a can of old coffee and a few filters. Some salt and pepper, and that was it. There is mold in the house, kitchen and bath. There are 2 microwaves, and the one that works is very low power and not much good. The TV remote was sticky and disgusting. I washed the case before I used it. In other VRBO's we have stayed in there is a Guest book for people to sign, and is always fun to read. No Guest book here. Also, other VRBO's will have some form of notebook listing nearby restaurants, hospitals and Urgent Care, churches, grocery stores, area attractions. Also the WiFi information, customer service phone number is listed. No such notebook. I have pictures too.

2nd Look

Information needs to be updated! No "parking first come first serve" only for Residential Pass. Outdoor shower does not work. Only HOT water in bathroom...not good in August. AC had hard ri.e keeping up. Fans barely moved

Zero customer service

We were unable to access the property because the key pad didnt work. The customer service rep gave me multiple pin codes but none of them worked. I expressed my concerns that the key pad may be the issue and didnt feel confident that it would be reliable. I asked for my money back and the property owner said my issue didt justify a refund. So we didnt stay at the properly we paid for and had to pay for a hotel and they kept my money. Highway robbery! Never using this service again.

Location,Location,Location

This house is almost across the street from the beach. So convenient. Cute and spacious but we didn’t have a porch light the whole time we were there. I did call and was told a report would be made and they would fix it the next day but didn’t happen. The bathroom outlet didn’t work as well although there is a hair dryer available. Overall had a great time in Galveston and I do recommend staying here.

Galveston Get Away

This little bungalow was very, very clean. We enjoyed being close to the ocean and within walking distance to restaurants and sight seeing. There were some problems with the HVAC system and the amenities were less than expected. We had to purchase everything down to the salt and pepper for meals. We would recommend anyone from 2 to 4 people to stay and play in this home.

Trip to the beach

We loved the cleanliness of the home and the convenience of it located right off the beach causeway. We enjoyed walking the beach and eating out at restaurants close by. The only improvement I could see to the place is an updated coffee maker with coffee pods plus a wall mirror in the main bedroom. Just loved the color scheme of the home.

Owners need to replace carpets and bedding bad

Carpet stained, couch stains , bedroom stains need new linens need to launder the bedspreads parking was so tight you couldn't even open the door in the parking space. Otherwise the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom was good probably would be good for college students. Not recommended for handicapped people and older people

Great for a weekend get away!

This was a great location. Easy to walk every where. Be aware there are stickers in the yard if you are barefoot. Everything was exactly as stated. My daughter left something behind and I was very happy with the call back as local management looked for it to mail back. Would definitely go again.

Charming Cottage

The cottage was super close to all the fun restaurants and the beach was just across the street. Only negative would be the odd smell (think it was due to all the humidity). But overall supernice.

House clean difficulty with managers

The house was clean and close to beach and restaurants. The yard needed attention and the managers were difficult to deal with. The alarm in the house started going off the first night we were there and it didn’t get resolved for 4 1/2 days. We will not rent with Turnkey again.

Peaceful getaway

This was our gift to my daughter who just graduated. She and her two friends enjoyed this trip. They walked to the beach then down to pleasure pier. Back yard is so peaceful. Clean home and if you ask a question for advise or about area they respond fast. Loved our stay at this location

Galveston House Rental

The house was very convenient to the beach. It was also off the main roads which meant less traffic. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Having the property totally enclosed in fencing kept our privacy and less worry about small children playing. Very pleasant stay.
