pleasantly surprised!

I am notoriously picky but really had a wonderful time and would stay here again. The property management company does a great job and the house was very clean. The location is perfect - West End but not so far out that it's still convenient to eat along Seawall and get to Randall's to shop and grab a Starbucks. Really enjoyed walking along the nearby beach and the next neighborhood has a nice walking path as well. House is cozy and comfortable - big TV and comfortable couch. The kitchen is nicely stocked and I was able to make a dessert.

Charming Beach Retreat

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location with easy access to beach only a short walk away. Perfect for a vacation getaway, setup nicely with all of the ammenities. Historic Galveston, Pleasure Pier and other attractions are only a short drive away. Highly recommend!!!

Nice quaint cottage, close to the beach

This single floor cottage was nice and as good as advertised for our short stay. We felt pretty packed in, but no major issues. Good communication with the owner and close proximity to the beach were major plusses. Definitely worth it for the price.

Dependable House

Everything was great! Only issue was lack of hot water for bathtub/shower. This house does not supply items for going out on the beach even though beach box management list that they do for their rentals. Over all great dependable place.

Rats, and Beach Box doesn't care.

We checked in for a seven-night stay but left after just two nights. On the second morning, we discovered rat droppings in the kitchen and living room. I immediately contacted Beach Box and sent photos.  Their only solution was to set up traps—an unacceptable response. I was not willing to expose my family to rats, even with traps in place, nor did I want young children around rat traps.  Despite managing many properties, there was no offer to move us to a rat-free property or any sort of refund. Beach Box left us on our own to find alternative accommodations that cost considerably more last minute. After raising my concerns, Beach Box went silent for a considerable amount of time, forcing me to chase them for a resolution. In the end, there was none. After about a week of persistent follow-ups, Beach Box finally offered a mere 120 refund for the five unused nights—completely unreasonable. VRBO informed me that, since Beach Box uses its own billing system rather than VRBO’s, my only recourse was to dispute the charge with my credit card company.Do your due diligence, look Beach Box up on Google, check out their Yelp reviews and their standing with the Galveston Better Business Bureau. Decide for yourself if this is where you want to spend your hard earned money and a risk you are willing to take.

Had a wonderful stay!!

The house was just as described and pictured. We really enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit :). AC & Heater worked great! Three bedrooms is always a huge plus with kids. Owner was very nice and responsive. We didn’t get to use the pool because it was cold outside but a very nice addition in the summer!!! Thank you for the stay.

Fabulous location, cute house

Family had a fantastic stay. Beds were comfortable, house was in good order. We loved the location and porch, fire pit, etc. The beach location and access is perfect. Only negative was the slight musty smell in house and a few roaches in the kitchen, but those are somewhat to be expected in a beach house. Everything went smoothly and worked well. Highly recommend.

Getaway to Relax

Very nice. Comfortable setting. Safe neighborhood. Perfect for a relaxing .. listen to the waves … peaceful time. Listing was exactly as noted on the post. Would recommend anyone to stay here. If anyone have children, the bonus bunk room was cute and perfect for kids.

Great location

Great location just steps from the beach. This is a small house so was a bit of a struggle for meals with our large group of nine without a dining table or a coffee table in the living room room. There was a broken socket and moldy washer that we informed the host about. Otherwise, the place was clean and comfortable. Loved the fire pit. Ring bug repellent.

Beach getaway

House was super nice and steps to the beach. Enjoyable to wake up amd sit on the porch, look at the gulf and then take a quick walk to the beach. Short drive to the town was convenient with dining and entertainment options. Perfect size for what we needed to enjoy our beach getaway. Will be back to stay!

Amazing, outstanding

My daughter and I stayed at the beach house all week the last week in October. We found the beach house to be charming, clean, well stocked with necessities, washer and dryer, and all the amenities that you would have at home. The beach home was clean, easy to get you anf the parking was more than ample. Russell the coordinator was amazing. Highly recommend this beach house. Forgot to say that the beach was clean and within five minutes of the beach house. Awesome!

Great Location for pre-cruise stay.

Loved how close we were to some amazing restaurants (Willy's on the Pier and Sea Wall Cafe). Beach was beautiful and so close by. The house was exactly what we needed for our quick pre cruise stay. The owner was extremely quick to communicate with and provided a wonderful guide for the house and the area around. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks!!

Little Beach Gem

We absolutely loved staying at this beach cottage. It was quaint and simple. The house was very clean and looked just like the pictures advertised. The TV worked perfectly. Older comments mentioned a black line going through the screen -now the screen is perfect and the WiFi works perfectly too. The only tv is in the livingroom but this gives you a chance to not pine away in your bedroom when you have such beautiful views outside. The lawn was well manicured and the grass is soft to walk on barefooted. We will definitely be back. The location is perfect and close to the beach. The property owner is very responsive and responds quickly. I am so glad we found this place.

Quaint cottage near beach

Nice quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk to beach. Home is small but comfortable. The cowboy pool was a nice extra after a walk on the beach. The place was clean and decorated nicely. A perfect getaway for our anniversay. The owners accept well behaved pets. Owners are helpful and considerate.and respectful of privacy.

Pros: good beach views, very close to the beach, cowboy pool, huge TV, fast internet, comfortable beds, good AC, surface clean, well stocked except for fly swatter which we bought and left there Cons: first day there encountered a few baby roaches in kitchen and bathtub, uncomfortable couch/ needs comfortable lounging area, needs a deep clean, needs some minor repairs/maintenance ie: new blinds in living room and some deck repairs
