Nuestra encantadora cabaña frente al mar ofrece alojamiento flexible, amplio y luminoso en el encantador pueblo de Rowhedge, que está idealmente ubicado para acceder fácilmente al paseo marítimo de Essex en Mersea Island, Brightlingsea, Walton y Clacton, además de estar a 10 minutos del centro de Colchester, a una hora de Londres ya 45 minutos de la popular región costera de Suffolk, que incluye Snape, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness y Southwold.
La propiedad está justo en el paseo marítimo en el corazón de este pueblo tranquilo y acogedor. La casa es sorprendentemente espaciosa y ha sido recientemente renovada. Tiene una capacidad muy cómoda para 5 personas y tiene una habitación king-size con un baño con ducha, una habitación doble, una habitación individual y un baño familiar con ducha con bañera. También hay espacio para una cuna de viaje en cualquiera de las habitaciones. Hay una gran sala de estar con cómodos asientos, una mesa y sillas de comedor, una cocina moderna con todos los electrodomésticos y un pequeño jardín trasero que es una verdadera trampa para el sol y encantador para cenar al aire libre. Hay dos espacios de estacionamiento asignados.
Este es nuestro hogar muy querido y lo usamos nosotros y nuestra familia y amigos con regularidad.

Rowhedge es un pueblo tranquilo con una comunidad acogedora y es conveniente para el acceso. Hay una cooperativa con una oficina de correos y el excelente pub y restaurante Anchor, así como el pub Albion un poco más adelante a lo largo del paseo marítimo.

La pièce de résistance de la cabaña es la vista del estuario del río Colne al pintoresco pueblo de Wivenhoe y la reserva natural, es un comienzo tranquilo y encantador para todos los días.

The property itself was great, very well equipped, comfortable and has a great view of the river. The information left for us was vey useful and we took advantage of the pizzas at the nearby pub which were excellent. The only down side is the parking. We parked in the designated space but other people park in places which block the roadway or make getting out difficult. Unfortunately the property owner does not have any control over these inconsiderate people but it is something to be aware of if you have a large vehicle.

Easy access

Lovely place with good sized rooms. Easy access to transportation, good parking available for visitors, and with toilet facilities on the main level. Long stay, I was especially happy to have laundry with wash and dry.Lots of room for family dinner.

Superb accommodation

A lovely homely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with a rather special riverside location offering views and privacy. Our first time to this area so enjoyed some river walks and hearing interesting history of Rowhedge gleaned from the very friendly locals. We only had a short stay but got a lot in , including a trip to Wivenhoe on the riverside opposite. Will definitely rebook next time we are 'out East' .

View of the tidal river Colne

We loved the location, 6kms from Colchester 12 kms from the seaside. Rowhedge itself is also picturesque along the river. The house is tastefully furnished and comfortable

Lovely property - we will return.

Lovely property, we felt very at home here. The village is very pretty with a local co op, a cafe and a few pubs. Great local walks. We have family in the village and will definitely return to this property. Thank you to the owners.

Beautiful fully equipped cosy house

beautiful house in a great location with amazing view of the river, with a well equipped kitchen and where travel cot and high chair were provided free of charge and fans were also supplied in all the bedrooms.

Wonderful holiday

We liked the cottage very much. It was cosy and had a wonderful view to the River Colne. We found everything we needed. We had 2 trips to London, 1 trip to Flatford Mill, to Wivenhoe, the beach of Mersea Island , to Cudmore Grove and we visited our Englisch friends in West Mersea. It was a great adventure, even our grandchildren loved it.

Best ever bolt hole

We love coming here. The position right by the water is what gets us coming back. It is cosy and clean and close to many attractions. Also proximity of shops is helpful. Thank you Heather for another enjoyable stay.

Idyllic Escape in Rowhedge

Tucked away on the banks of the River Colne, our recent stay at this beautiful riverside cottage in Rowhedge was pure tranquility. The moment we stepped through the door, we were enveloped in peacefulness. The tastefully decorated interior offered a haven of comfort, but it was the view that truly stole the show. Windows framed ever-changing scenes of the river, from the gentle lapping of water to the dance of sailboats in the breeze. We spent countless hours curled up with on the bench mesmerized by the ever-shifting panorama and the sound of the birds. The village of Rowhedge itself is a delight, offering two friendly pub and a charming atmosphere. Yet, the true magic lies in the cottage's idyllic setting. If you're seeking a peaceful escape with breathtaking scenery, this riverside retreat is an absolute dream.

Very enjoyable few days

The cottage is clean, bright, warm,and has great views of the river. Ideal for bird watching!! Veryclose to local pubs, small supermarket, and bus route.....left the car behind for 5 days!

Gemütliches Haus in schöner Lage

Es war dieses Mal unser fünfter Aufenthalt in Cholchester, sodass wir die Gegend bereits sehr gut kannten. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und idyllisch an direkter Wassefront. Cholchester ist mit dem Auto in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Oberflächlich ist das Haus sauber, nur beim genaueren Hinsehen und Nutzen der Küche waren zum Beispiel deutliche Fettanhaftungen an der Dunstabzugshaube und nicht gut gereinigtes Besteck festzustellen. Aufgrund des kalkhaltigen Wassers sind auch an den Badezimmerarmaturen deutliche Kalkanhaftungen zu erkennen. Badetücher und Handtücher waren zwar viele vorhanden, leider rochen insbesondere die dickeren Badetücher unangenehm nach alter Restfeuchte. Grundsätzlich ist das Haus umfassend und gut ausgestattet. Einzig haben wir eine Kaffeemaschine vermisst. Da wir diesen Umstand aber bereits in anderen Bewertungen gelesen haben, hatten wir uns einen eigenen Durchlauffilter mitgebracht.

Lovely cottage, exceptional location

A beautiful, light, attractive cottage with an exceptional setting right on the river, with the riverside walk just outside the door. Very quiet, no traffic passing the door. Small supermarket a short walk away. Lots of things to do in the wider area, to suit all interests. Would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

Amazing

It's a wonderful and spacy house, we didn't miss anything. The look on the river Colne is very nice, just sitting on the bench in front of the house or the chair at the window. We loved it. The equipment in the house fulfills every need, maybe a coffee machine would be nice. We can recommend the house to everybody.
