pros: The small cabin was cute and clean with a gas log fireplace. We were comfortable for 4. cons: The bedroom down stairs was tight, little room for a suitcase. The bedroom upstairs, the staircase maybe hard for some. The loft area was quit warm.

Great cabin

Great place, Highly recommend. Everything you need for a quiet get-a-way. Yes the road to the cabin is steep, any car can get up the hills if you actually know how to drive outside the city limits. Yes the stairs are steep to the river… you probably need the exercise anyways!

Very clean

We enjoyed our stay. We felt the cabin was cleaned nicely inside and to include outside furniture. No spider webs and did not see any bugs. It was appreciated. The steps to the water was alot but it was an absolute must to be on the water in that area.

Great get away

The mountains were calling so we found this perfect little get away just a short drive from home. The listing was accurate, the cabin was adorable (decorated beautifully and furnished very well), and we had a wonderful time! Even our pup, Gracie, enjoyed her stay! My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Karla was very communicative and responded to all my questions in a very timely manner! We were very pleased and will likely go back!

McCaysville , close to Blue Ridge Ga

Cabin is cute , a bit tight. Common area is nice. Hard to spread out belongings and clothes in bedrooms . Stream off the deck is beautiful. The steep walk down wasn’t a problem for us but might be for the less agile Bottom deck needs at least 2 more chairs as there are only 2. One thing to be aware of is there is loud construction ( home being built) going on during the week so takes away from the tranquil outdoor vibe. Thankfully it isn’t going on during the weekend.

Beautiful and Secluded

We had a great time! I would suggest a 4X4. because of the gravel road leading up to the cabin. The view was beautiful but the access to the creek was a very steep and not easy for this old man. It was located just minutes from McCayesville with plenty of restaurants and shops and a well stocked supermarket.

Just what we needed

The property is absolutely perfect. Far enough away from the neighbors to have absolute privacy and quiet. Lots of fireflies but no mosquitos. The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The sounds of the creek out back will be missed when we leave.

North Georgia Expedition

The Mayfly cabin was perfect. We fished and rafted and explored. It was central to all things on our agenda and to the Blue Ridge area. The amenities were all there, tree house front porch, baggo, fire pit, a creek. Fun times for sure

beautiful stay

We had a wonderful weekend at the Mayfly cabin celebrating my husband turning 50! Although the weather was unpredictable it didn’t stop us from enjoying the cabin. Comfy beds, pillows, couch, etc made for a cozy day. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was due to a dirty bedspread and towel on one of the beds, and a pile of dead ants in the shower. Other than that it was completely immaculate and the communication with the property management company was excellent. We 100% want to come back when it’s not raining!

New Years Adventure

This property was exactly what the website depicted. For four adults and a pet it was comfy. I was looking for a quiet place to relax and recharge and The Mayfly Cabin worked perfect. I would suggest additional/different lighting for reading purposes. I was surprised to find a vast assortment of cooking utensils and a well-stocked kitchen. In my opinion the kitchen was small, however it worked satisfactory for me.

You have my heart, Mayfly

This is truly everything a cabin in the woods on a river bank should be! Very clean. Everything was just so comfortable. I absolutely loved the nearby town! Every trip out and in we saw so many deer and I mean like +6. One huge buck in the pasture before Branch Creek rd. A huge home fed turkey snd chickens. And last were the 2 different beavers. One welcomed us from town and we saw one on a log beside the cabin. The views from the porches to the water was amazing! I cannot wait to go back!!!

Beautiful Property

What a great home. Extremely comfortable and plenty of room for the kids and my wife and I. Our favorite part was having coffee on the back porch and listening to the water down below. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you need to creat a memorable meal. A wonderful relaxing experience.

Need 4 wheel drive to access

Beautiful cabin, newly updated, great kitchen area with everything you need to cook meals. Comfortable beds, sleeps 8 people. Beautiful view, very peaceful and quiet. 2 negatives: Oddly enough, we found food crumbs inside the sofa bed so we were wondering if the linen had been changed. Most important negative: the driveway to all the cabins is gravel. One section is S-shaped and uphill. My 6 cylinder Acura MDX really struggled to make it. It took us a few trials. My brother had a Toyota 4 runner and stayed stuck. He had to park it down, and the neighbors were not happy. So rent it if you have a 4 wheel drive or a pick up truck. To mention the weather was nice and dry, so can't imagine trying this on wet and muddy ground. They really need to pave this section. We will not return for this reason, unless we get a new car.
