Wonderful staff and great location!

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always greeted us when we arrived or left the hotel. The room was immaculate and a good size. The pool and hot tub were very clean and comfortable temperature wise. (We lucked out - we had it to ourselves our entire stay.) The hotel is located right in between DuPont Circle and the Whitehouse/Mall area so it's a great location. The attached (independently owned) restaurant Nage was absolutely fantastic! The cuisine was fresh and innovative with a very diverse menu.

Nice Hotel at affordable price.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was by far the best.
Location: The Hotel is just minutes away from DC and all the museums.
I spent a night at a local Days Inn (nightmare) before I checked out and checked in to Marriott. And the difference between the two were like day and night, for the same price the Marriott Hotel had cleaner rooms, cleaner lobby and the best free breakfast you will ever have. Best place for your money.

Very Nice Hotel

It's a beautiful hotel the moment you walk in and the staff is unbelievably nice! Such a happy environment and close to the White House. Fairly close to the tourist attractions. Would definitely come again.

Good option to stay in DC

Pros: Free Internet, close to destination
Cons: Poor breakfast, long walk to metro
I picked the place just for closeness to my destination. Room was fine and of average cleanliness. Front desk was very friendly. Free internet is nice, but slow.

Will not be staying here again.

My husband and I booked this hotel for a third night of a business trip to DC. One of the reasons we chose it was for the swimming pool and whirlpool. At check-in we requested a late check-out the following day, as our flight was later in the afternoon and we hoped to do some sightseeing in the morning. I was told to check again in the morning. After a busy day of sightseeing we decided to go and relax in whirlpool and swim. The jets in the whirlpool hardly worked and after swimming a couple of lengths of the small pool, my husband's eyes were bloodshot and the whites of his eyes were solid pink. They continued to bother him for the rest of the night, to the point that we were unable to go out as we had planned. Later, we saw a family that had been at the pool at the same time and the mother was using a straw to drop water into her young son's eyes! When we talked to the gentleman at the front desk about the pool and asked if they checked the chlorine levels regularly, he said that they always check the levels and do not open it to the public if it is not safe. Later, he called the room to tell me that they don't actually use chlorine, but some sort of salt water treatment. My husband is a swimmer and swims regularly in different pools and lakes and has never had this reaction before. Still, nothing was done for us. We attempted to dine at the hotel's on-site restaurant and were treated very unprofessionally and were essentially snubbed for not having a reservation - so we went elsewhere. Finally, we checked again around 9 in the morning about the late checkout and were told that we were fine to extend it to 1:00pm. When we arrived back at the hotel at 12:30, we had been locked out of our room and had to go back down to get the keys reset! Overall, compared to the hotel we had come from, we were very disappointed in this stay. The bed was comfortable, but while the room was insulated from outside noises, we could hear the people in the next room. We were also unimpressed with the lack of customer service in addressing the issues we encountered. If we have the opportunity to visit DC again, we will NOT be staying here again!

Hotel night staff deserves promotion! And hotel was very good also.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, location
Although it is only for sleeping, staying a good hotel is like a good icing on a cake. It makes all the difference in one's travel experience. This hotel was good for what it offers: clean and big room, quiet setting, convenience, and very nice night staff who welcomes you after long hours of tiresome air-travel. All arrangements were done swiftly and surely, and I had very nice stay in this hotel. If I must say one downside, the room next to the elevator has some noise one may find disturbing... I stayed in a room right next to one of the elevators. The elevators makes some zoom noise when it moves up and down. In the quietness of the night, an overly sensitive person may find it irritating. But, it was nothing at all.

Big Rooms, great location

Stayed here for Spring Break with the kids. Short walk from metro. We walked to most the spots from this central location. It was nice having a very large room - plenty of room to spread out. Very clean and nicely appointed. We all loved the free coffee/hot chocolate bar on the main floor. And the kids loved to race back to the hotel at the end of the day to get a free cookie!

Go for the Cookies

Our family of 4 (kids 9 and 12 yo) enjoyed our 4 night stay. Mom and Dad loved the coffee machine in the lobby. Kids and parents both LOVED the warm cookies waiting for us after a day of sightseeing. The room was spacious and clean. The pool was small but kids still had fun. Hot tub was a welcome treat for tired feet/legs. Location was good, but still a few blocks to Metro. On sunny days it was a pleasant walk. Several restaurants, pharmacy, grocery nearby.

We chose this hotel through the travel website, it seemed reasonably priced and close enough to the attractions of DC. Except for the fact that we requested adjoining rooms and did not receive them, the rest of the trip was great. Nice Neighborhood. Just a few Blocks to the front of the White House. Children loved the pool, adults beware, it is VERY small. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful.

Great Weekend Getaway

My wife and I were pleased with our stay from the moment we checked in until the moment\nwe checked out. Special mention goes to the wonderful cafe located inside the hotel. We enjoyed a great meal only surpassed by the attentive staff. Again, I must say a great weekend\ngetaway.
