In need of cleaning and repairs
When we arrived after check-in, the cleaning staff obviously hadn't finishing cleaning the premises. Dirty towels, rags all over, chewed gum on the floor, trash left, blankets stained, towels stained, dirty floor, etc.. There were also lots of items that were broken, incl. patio door unable to fully open, several blinds/shades broken, a cabinet door fallen apart, microwave handle, hockey table, etc... The owner however was extremely responsive. He tried to get the cleaning staff to address the issues during our stay but they never came (they told him they met with us and that we refused cleaning service but that wasn't true). Toward the end of our stay, an on property rep stopped by, but they just took photos and took the abandoned trash. She did apologize and told us to expect a partial refund of some kind, but that didn't happen either.Another issue was the layout. The second bathroom is in the basement where there are no beds and the stairs are narrow to get to.Overall we did enjoy the area and amenities, and the owner was very nice and responsive. The community also kept the roads plowed during our winter stay which was nice to access safely.
