Excellent property!

Very nice property on the main channel of Hartwell. As others reviewed, the walkway to the dock is very very steep and makes you think twice about making sure you have everything you need before heading down. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare our meals.

Beautiful view, and a comfortable home.

This is a very roomy home with lovely furnishings and a beautiful view. We had 2 families of 4 plus our mom staying here for the week of Thanksgiving, and we never once felt crowded. The game room downstairs was a wonderful place for the teenagers to hang out and roomy enough for the adults to join in the fun. We stocked the mini fridge down there with drinks so they wouldn't have to come upstairs and open the fridge that had all the food. My husband and kids went down to the dock and enjoyed some time on the lake with no problems getting back up the steep hill, but the rest of us didn’t attempt the extremely steep climb. The kitchen amenities were nice, but there could be some improvements in lighting there. We had to bring a lamp over from the living room in order to have ample lighting which then took up some counter space. The garbage disposal didn’t seem to be working well if at all, and there was a slightly moldy smell when the hot water was running. The grill came on, but it wouldn't get hot enough for us to use, so we just used the grill part over the fire pit coals to cook our hamburgers. These things were not deal breakers, and I would recommend you stay here as we really enjoyed it here. The beds are comfy, the rooms are lovely, and the view is amazing. The firepit is large and has 2 large benches for seating. The water was easy to turn on and off with a tool already in there for this use, and getting to the key was a breeze. I definitely would stay here again.

Wonderful weekend

Very clean and well equipped kitchen. The hill IS very steep, but we managed to get down to the lake a few times. Beds were comfortable and the children enjoyed learning to play pool. Several board games were available, but we had brought our own. Grocery store is about a 15 minute drive. The road that the house is on does not have a street sign, so be sure to pay attention to your gps. Great weekend spot and we would stay again.

Lake days with friends

Great house and dock on deep water. Was a great fit for our group of 8 friends. The hill to the dock is no joke!! Be prepared because you will have a tough time if you need to carry anything heavy, like coolers up and down the hill.

Great Lake spot!

Loved the property and responsiveness of owners. Our family had a wonderful trip! Recommend a golf cart for that hill if you can rent one. Hope to be back next year!

Clemson Graduation

Stayed here with family for a long graduation weekend. House was wonderful. Problem with refrigerator was handled by owner quickly. We will be staying again.

The property was great. Just a few issues but they were addressed quickly and offered a free night. Great location, and house had everything we needed to enjoy our selfs during our Family Reunion we had at the park. They just need a iron and ironing board lol.

Lakeside Paradise

We had an amazing time! The house is beautiful and has everything you could need. The homeowner is very responsive and quick to fix any issues! The hill is VERY steep down to the water. The only thing that could possibly make this place any better would be, hand rails along the path to the lake. With that said, the description tells you it's steep..believe me it is! None the less, we had a magical time! Beautiful property,peaceful trip! 5 teenagers were occupied the entire time! Highly recommended.

New lake adventure

We had 8 people in our group and everyone loved the home and the lake. The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was well appointed. The steep access to the dock required some of the youngsters to hand hold the oldsters!

Father's Day weekend with family

The process was excellent and all went as planned. Did have a skight hiccup when turning off water at the meter. No wrench was there to turn off with. I happened to have pair of pliers though. Loved the house, plenty of dishes, pots, pans and bowls. Beds were very comfortable. House amenities and decor were excellent.

Beautiful and relaxing!

This rental was perfect for my family as we drove down for a family reunion. Plenty of space, lots of bathroom, beautiful porch views and a relaxing hammock. Owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!
