Beautiful Home

The house is gorgeous. It is a fisherman’s dream. We got there and for some reason the AC and the Wi-Fi I guess they make be connected. I don’t know what that was about but the whole AC in the house and downstairs was not working and the lights were working on part of the house. It seems to be some kind of short in that house. Because in order to get the lights to come on, we had to turn on the stove on high, but the stove was not working. The fridge was not working. There was ice in the fridge and it was melting all onto the floor. The first night the house was 81 and then it went down to 79 and in the morning time it was pretty good. It was 76.. and we did get to talk to the person. The host we got moved to another place which the second place was very sketchy area. We were locked out. There was no key in the box, the neighbors got into an argument with my stepdad within the first five minutes of us being there while we were locked out of the house, trying to get in. And they have a sign on their side of the fence that says you know, keep your effing things on your side, which you can kinda understand they live there and then the house next to him is a rental property.. but that’s not the customer’s fault. The AC worked at the second house, but the refrigerator did not work. The compressor was out and there was 2 inches of water in the fridge.. we had over 300 worth of food. Friday midnight the electricity was working at the first house so we went back.

Great Peaceful Getaway

This was a very clean and comfortable getaway for my family, friends and I. Will book again! No complaints. The arcade game wasn’t up and running but it was ok because the kids found other things to do. When i informed the property owner he offered to come check it out and fixed. Very professional.

Fishing

Check in was a breeze and the property was very clean inside and out. The property is located perfectly next to the San Luis Pass public boat ramp with easy access in and out. It is a great property for a fishing trip and just hanging out around the fire pit and barbecue. The host was accessible and responsive.

Fishing our troubles away

We booked this home wanting to make an early launch for bay fishing easier on our young children, as we live 2 hours north of the coast. The rain delayed that BUT this house is perfectly located for fishing and beach fun. We brought our boat and there was plenty of room for it. Having a public ramp next door is amazing. The house layout is great and could have easily accommodated a few more people. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. If you’re booking

Inaccurate Advertised Listing of Property Accommodations! There were ONLY 4 Bedrooms vice 5 Bedrooms, cleanliness was subpar and included amenities were lacking. Based upon our experience, definitely would not recommend!

Great Family Get Away

Great house for a large family or group of friends. We like the location. The boat ramp is nearby if u are going on the water. Great fishing in this area. House has several places to sleep. We enjoyed the arcade games. Nice bathrooms . Llace was clean.

Nice place, but need to go outside to get to last bedroom

The place is nice enough and gets the job done for a big group. The house is clean and in a convenient location for walking to a fishing beach, or driving to a swimmable one (I recommend beach access 4 as the most driveable). The host was responsive and informative about the area. The main downside is that one of the bedrooms isn't connected internally to the rest of the house. The game room and loft bedroom is actually a converted garage. You have to leave the house, go down to ground level, and reenter to get in there. This was an issue for us as it complicated kid bedtimes and where we could leave them. It was also a pain to deal with in the rain since the stairs aren't covered. One of the game cabinets didn't work and we had some TV issues, but we let them know and they said they'll look into it. In the property statistics, it lists 5 bedrooms, but it's really 4. The fifth is a common room with some futons. Feels like a stretch to call it a bedroom. I don't overly knock them on this because the written description calls it out as a "secondary living area". My main knock for it is that the futons are super hard. So if you plan to take advantage of it, bring air mattresses. The property has tons of standing water, and the mosquitos were quite terrible, but I think this is the case everywhere in the area, so not much they could do about it. Just be sure to bring bug spray and itch cream.

Awesome time

My family and I had a wonderful time with this home! So close to the beach, did some fishing, and relaxed with the whole family! The owner kept in touch with me throughout the whole stay making sure we were doing good.

Cute but dirty

The house itself is so beautiful and it was very spacious, our group fit perfectly. But When we arrived to the home the floors were dirty, dog hairs everywhere. The bedsheets in every bed were dirty, we couldn’t even lay in the until we washed them. The cleaning person did come that night but she was not informed of how many beds needed changing so she didn’t not bring enough and she had to come back the next day to clean the floors, although we sweep a little the first night there was so many dog hair still.

Great place

Nice, clean house. I reached out to the property owner on our second day and got a reply within minutes. Communication was great, the house was beautiful, the mosquitos were AWFUL. But we were warned of that ahead of time. (Mosquitoes were bad all the way from surf side, Galveston island, and Bolivar peninsula, no fault of the owners). All in all, my family and I (11 of us) truly enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding customer service!

The Stay Beach Box property was a well stocked beautiful rental for our Thanksgiving gathering. The home was very clean and well maintained. The few maintenance concerns were promptly handled by the property management team. The owner extended our stay due to a unforseen maintenance concern. My family was able to moved to another beautiful waterfront property. The owner extended our trip to assure our holiday vacation ended successfully. Thank you!
