Barnum Mansion

Jay Cooke suiteRoom, bed, shower, morning goodies were excellent!The old mansion does have it creaks and squeaks as there are 7 other rooms in the building, cool getaway in a neat neighborhood.

Great spot next to Chester Creek!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed two nights here in the first floor Jay Cooke Suite. Everything was as described in the listing, check-in and checkout were simple, and we loved the house, our suite, and the view of Chester Creek. The only minor negative was a bit of noise from the second floor at times, but it wasn’t bad.

Perfect for our visit

Loved this property for a visit with our son and his partner. Was located just a few blocks from his apartment Would stay again and definitely in the summer when we could take advantage of the front porch.

Duluth Elopement Trip!

My (now) husband & I stayed at this hotel for a few days during our elopement! the place was easy to find, parking was great, & checking in was a breeze! the area was great to be able to get out and see/do a lot of things during your stay. the room itself was beautiful, clean, & welcoming! the view from our windows overlooking the nearby wooded area was absolutely gorgeous with all of the fall leaves changing colors. the common areas were also well kept & well decorated, and the pastry/coffee bar was perfect for a light on-the-go breakfast! overall, i would highly recommend the GG Barnum Mansion Boutique Hotel for your next Duluth trip!

Get away

The room was very nice, and the staff seemed eager to help. The noise of the guests in the room above us on the first night of our stay sounded like they were moving furniture around in the room at 6:00 AM. Very disappointed to not get to sleep in our first night of vacation. Don’t think I would ever rent the lower room on the main floor. Even though it was a beautiful room with all the comforts of a great sittIng area and king size bed with a big shower and private bathroom.

Beautiful accommodations

This was our second time staying in this room at the home. The entire home is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. I even saw deer in the yard one morning. The off street parking was a nice bonus for travelers.

Beautiful and quiet

Loved everything about this place. Tastefully updated rooms without loss of historical character. Nice touches like coffee and tea with pastries each morning and easy parking in drive. Would definitely stay here again!

Moving in.

We wish we could stay here forever! The interior of the room looked exactly like the pictures, and it was so nice to be separate from the rest of the house. It was so easy to get in and out of the room and the house itself, and we felt super safe with the automatic locks for the exterior doors. Parking was SLICK as well! Absolutely no complaints from us!!

Secluded

The mansion is beautiful, and its location means there's very little traffic around it. We stayed in the Jay Cooke suite. There were other guests in the mansion, but since you can get to the suite without entering the main part of the house, we didn't have any worry about potentially noisy guests. Overall, a fabulous spot for a romantic getaway.
