The overall location of the house is great. The golf cart was very convenient, and we did not have any issues with it. The photos are slightly misleading, as this house is well used. When checking in the message states that if you wish to document pre-existing damage, etc you can. There was an extensive list. And you are supposed to go to a separate website to document any damage you find. This was time consuming and irritating. But we didn’t want any damage we found upon check in pinned on us.
The ice machine on the fridge does not work. A small ice machine that plugs in and sits on counter was provided. Upon opening it we found black mold. We had to go out and get ice.
Paddle board was deflated. I mistakenly sent a message to host. He informed me that I should check FAQ sheet. You will hear this everytime you try to communicate with this man. The FAQ sheet talks about inflating paddle board. We had already attempted this. I asked if there was a repair kit on site as we arrived to the house to a paddle board with a puncture. He referred me to FAQ sheet on inflating.
Prior to even arriving I asked him if he happened to know of any nearby areas we could park the one vehicle we had over that allowed limit for the house. He said to refer to FAQ sheet. The FAQ sheet just told number of vehicles allowed. I did post my question to a Destin forum, and a lovely woman who had rentals in area stated she frequently got her tenants parking at nearby church. We did the same.
