Perfect for Small Wedding

This property was amazing for our small wedding. I cannot express how absolutely beautiful the property is. We wanted a tropical backdrop without the salty air, and this place delivered! The property owners were very engaged and answered every question I had along the way. I am so happy with our experience!

Awesome Family Reunion Spot

We stayed here for a family reunion/80th birthday celebration for my mom. The house and the location were perfect. The house is and views were gorgeous. There was plenty of room for everyone and no one was ever bored, between lake activities, the pool table, ping-pong and plenty of games we all had an amazing time. I will definitely be staying here again.

Awesome Property!

My family and I had a wonderful 5 days at this property. There were plenty of comfortable bedrooms to accommodate our whole group with room to spare. Very pleased with the amount of bath towels and beach towels provided along with the many toys for the lake. Our host was very accommodating and we all appreciated that. If we are ever back in the area again, we will certainly book again!

Birthday Weekend with a Twist

All I am going to say is this was absolutely the best idea for my husband's 50th birthday celebration. I decided to book this AMAZING HOME (amazing is an understatement) because he loves Lake Murray. This home made it extra special for all of us. We were a party of 17. I decided to add a little twist. I did not tell anyone where we were staying until the day I had to provide them the address. It was very hard to keep this secret for Month. Upon arrival, all reactions of all the guests including my husband and children were Priceless!! We lived 2 full days in the most beautiful home. There is so much to do. We rented the Tritoon Boat that is available and had a blast. I could go on forever about our days in this house, but I don't have enough room to type... all I can say is this was a wonderful memory made on his 50th birthday that will be talked about for the rest of our lives! It is definitely MORE than just a "place to stay", It is a home away from home, fully stocked with all essentials needed, beds are comfier that my own, very clean, with lots to do. Jason, the owner, will make sure your stay is perfect (Thanks)! Lastly and very important to mention... The Sunset will stop you in your tracks. It is a "Gemstone in the Sky". Picking this home to stay in will be the best decision you will make. We loved it here and plan to go back!!

Incredible for Vow Renewal!

My husband and I celebrated our vow renewal here and it was PERFECT! We had 15 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of towels, linens, literally everything you could possibly need! The property was the perfect place for our ceremony and dinner party, wish I could upload pictures lol! It was truly stunning!! Host was awesome. Super friendly and responsive. Made check in/out a breeze. Can’t wait to book again!!

Perfect setting for our stay

Property was amazing and host was very accommodating. Unbelievable views from the porch over the lake. We had up to 14 people on one night and there were still empty beds. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who has a large family that wants to get away for a bit and soak up the lake.

College Friends Reunion

7 college friends have gotten together every few years since graduation at various places around the country. Sunset Point proved to a perfect balance of beautiful setting, large, well- appointed home with a beautiful lake view, terrific on site amenities (fire pit, private beach, extended porches, pool table, ping pong, kayaks, boat rental option, fully appointed kitchen, grill, 2 fridges to support meals) lall ocated close to many the activity options of greater Columbia SC! A perfect reunion setting!

. . . JUST DO IT!!!

Don't pause nor even think twice:) Part spa - part resort & definitely a little slice of Heaven. Our extended family had not gathered all together in years. This occasion was to celebrate my Mom's 98th birthday - yep, no typo here - lol. Every single thing about Sunset Point was glorious. Mother Nature reminded us that she was in control our first night there & Jason could not have responded quicker nor have been a better communicator! Funny thing, the sunset that particular night was like something one sees on a canvas in an art studio . . . oh.my.gosh! We kayaked early morning & late afternoon until dusk - then we went swimming well after dark. How fun it was to see the fellas target their lure for the underwater fishing lights! The Tritoon rental was a wonderful bonus & allowed us to explore all over Lake Murray! I recall the ping-pong tournaments barely trumped the billiard games - but there was a lot of trash-talking for both (wink wink). Thinking back, I'm not sure we even turned on a TV but maybe during our first night there to watch the weather??!! Decorated with impeccable taste, this home lacks nothing. And, the kitchen . . .just wow. They have thought of every single imaginable culinary tool known to the modern chef! Plan your menus in advance & buy your groceries on the way to check-in. You'll seriously never leave until it comes time that you have to & then you'll find yourself earnestly pondering how to barter for just one more "Mind Blowing Sunset'.

Fabulous place!

We stayed 5 families of 4 and it was a perfect size with plenty of room and space for all. The pictures don’t do the property justice it is an absolutely stunning piece of property with water views from all around you. Jason was extremely attentive throughout. The amenities they provide are great with plenty of beach towels, floats, kayaks and games for all the family to enjoy. We will definitely be renting this little slice of paradise again.

More Than We Hoped For…

Where to start: I’ll start from good and get to great. We bought paper plates, cutlery and things we thought we would need. And guess what? It was all there. Our entire group said the pictures did not convey the amazing views and the beach. The beach was absolutely one of our highlights. Ping pong was a close second. I’m guessing 30 + games (games to 7 so no one waited) of ping pong per day or in the early am before going to bed. Super fun. Speaking of the beach. The Maui Mat - 20 foot off the shore - hosted us many hours. What a great place to just relax in the water and enjoy our company. Suggestion: Rent the boat. Do not haggle. Rent it. Super fun. And the boat comes to you. No work on our part. At the risk of swelling Jason’s ego, he was/is the most engaged host we have ever had. I never felt like a bother even when I had a silly question. Hint. The gas station for the board is to the left of the bridge - 5 minutes from shore. And Jason even arranged a ride to the airport with a local soon to be college student. Well I can’t say enough. This is sure to be a great stay. We did it for our 60th birthday with 15 friends and family. Kids had a ball and we were all homesick when we left.

Amazing time

We stayed for our company retreat for the weekend with about 20 people with a wide range of ages and this property was perfect. Literally all we had to do was show up. Everything else was already there. Games, boat, fire pit, beach chairs, floats, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, tackle, pool table, ping pong table, coolers, lowcountry boil pot, propane and burner. You name it it’s there. Just bring food, snacks, ice, and drinks and you’ll never have to leave the property. Just sit back and relax.

Perfect Family Vacation

Sunset Point was perfect for our family vacation. The house was beautiful and was fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner, was very responsive to any questions we had. Our whole family enjoyed the many amenities - the sandy beach, kayaks, stand up paddleboard, corn hole, fire pit, ping pong, pool, and a water mat. The view of Lake Murray from the porch and beach was spectacular. We also enjoyed cruising and tubing on the tri toon boat which we rented from the owner. We would highly recommend Sunset Point.

Stunning House

Stayed at this wonderful house with 8 women to celebrate a birthday. The home was more amazing than I expected and fully stocked with everyone one might need. The kitchen was a delight to cook in with so much space and beautiful garden views. There is a second refrigerator we kept drinks in and an ice maker. We were never bored because there were so many things to do! We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, cooked, read, and relaxed. Even though it was the weekend before the 4th of July the lake remained peaceful. The owner was so helpful and spent time answering all our questions to make sure our stay was great. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It was almost like staying at a high-end resort! There

Golf and Fishing

Enjoyed everything about the place. Plenty of room in the house with a huge yard. Everything you need at the lake. Nice beach. Caught many fish of all sizes. We love to stay again.
