The Hobbit House is so cute! We were so pleased to find a place that was handicap-accessible, but there were still some drawbacks. My husband has a prosthetic leg and it was very hard for him to get around in the bathroom. The toilet is very low and the grab bars were not really much help, but we did manage to make it work. Since he takes his prosthetic limb off at night, he has to use the right side of the bed because he has no left leg. It was difficult to maneuver the wheelchair into that area on that side of the bed where he could transfer, but we slid the bed over a little to make room. Otherwise everything was fine. I know there won’t be that many people with a prosthesis, but there will be some. Handicapped doesn't just mean confined to a wheelchair. Our grandkids loved the creek, the water, rocks, and the outside fire! It was a very enjoyable trip for us all.
