The good- Check in was smooth. Front desk person was nice, and the parking lot had a man making sure only guests could park there, and he was super friendly.
Its an older building, but the lobby and room were updated. The room itself has had a lot of work done to it, and you can tell the owners are investing into the place.
Had a great Thai restaurant right at the entrance. Its been there for years. The food was great, and the local Thai community also seems to love it for breakfast.
The bad- Got a phone call from the frost desk in the middle of the night, saying i had parked in a handicap spot and needed to move my car. Being that the area isnt the safest, this made me uneasy to begin with. I went outside to find that my car was NOT in a marked handicap spot. In fact the 2 marked handicap spots were empty, i was completely across from them on the other side. The office person came out and told me i was too close to the (unobstructed and clear) path. He told me another guest had complained. I should have taken pictures.
So at 1am, in an area of town thats not really safe, i was forced to move my car to another area that was not lit, with walls i couldnt see around in the back. I didnt see any cars with handicap placards or marked plates. And no one parked in handicap spots.
Barely slept the rest of the night. Checked out in the morning and went somewhere else.
