What you can expect

In September 2017, the Columbia River Gorge experienced a landscape changing wildfire that ravaged much of the area east of the popular Multnomah Falls. Areas that were once a lush and vibrant green quickly burned leaving scars for miles, leaving many to wonder if this natural wonderland would ever be the same.

Yet, in spite of the mosaic burn, the beauty of the Gorge remained, and the force of the waterfalls continued. With some of the hillsides and ridges all but destroyed, the stubbornness of nature is clear as you fly above thousands of acres of trees seemingly untouched by the heat and fury of the flames.

Fly over the Columbia River, past dozens of permanent and seasonal waterfalls, and see why this gorge is cherished by so many.
