Description

Travel to scenic Cape Cod through the quaint town of Sandwich. Breathe in the salty sea air, and enjoy the sparkling beaches, lighthouses, cottages, and sailboats. Bask in the summer sun as you cruise and view the stunning Kennedy family compound.

Begin with a stop in Hyannisport to reflect on the memorial dedicated to President John F. Kennedy, often referred to as JFK. Then climb aboard and begin your fully-narrated cruise. Take in first-class views of the Kennedy Compound, coastal lighthouses, and beautiful beachfront properties as you sail the Nantucket Sound.

The Kennedy Compound consists of three houses on six acres of waterfront property. JFK used it first as a base for his successful 1960 U.S. Presidential campaign and later as a retreat from D.C. during the summers of his presidency.

Don’t forget lunch—the Cape offers some of the freshest seafood imaginable, most notably lobster.

Get ready to discover the 300 year old hidden pirate treasure of the Whydah Gally, sunk in 1717. Captained by Black Sam Bellamy, the Whydah was shipwrecked in a storm off Cape Cod. Buried under 30 feet of sand lay a treasure worth millions in gold, jewelry and artifacts. What has been uncovered to date is on display at the Pirate Museum. Get a private tour and interact with the archeologists in the lab as they work to uncover their findings from the 'concretions' that encase them.

Complete your day of discovery with a walk on the beach to gather a few souvenirs to take home.

Very nice, single-day trip. Gives a good flavor of the "cape culture", the beaches and the natural environment of the region. The driver provided a nice narration and pieces of history that made the tour more interesting.
