Don’t stash your gear just yet! There is still plenty of time to hit the slopes. Whether you want more powder or are waiting for warmer spring skiing, ski-in\/ski-out lodges will have you on the slopes in a flash. With easy access to lifts, all you have to do is slap on skis or a board, and you’ll be making your way down the mountain without having to wait in long lift lines. At day’s end you won’t have to lug your gear anywhere either\u2014just pull up to your hotel, unclip and unwind. Here are six ski-in\/out lodges we love.<\/span><\/div>\n

Mammoth Mountain Inn: Mammoth, CA<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Located at the base of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, the Mammoth Mountain Inn<\/a> offers an affordable ski-in\/ski-out option for those who want quick access to the slopes. This three-story hotel, situated at 9,000 feet, offers standard double, queen or king beds, condos that sleep four to 10 guests, an upgraded 1,980-square-foot Pinnacle Suite, and the Chalet, which is a separate cabin-type accommodation. There are two on-site restaurants, a fitness room, game room, general store, pool and laundry facility. Hop on the gondola to the top of the mountain or one of three chair lifts, just steps away from your room. The Inn is situated next to the Main Lodge where guests can purchase lift tickets, rent ski\/snowboard equipment, meet for lunch, catch some rays on the deck, enjoy apres ski beverages or purchase essentials. The mountain, meanwhile, boasts 3,500-acres of skiable terrain with 28 chairlifts and four ski lodges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Snowpine Lodge: Alta, UT<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

For die-hard skiers, Alta Ski Area is one of the few remaining ski-only resorts left. It features 119 runs, with more than half of them suited for expert skiers. Situated on the slopes of Alta is the Snowpine Lodge<\/a>. This ski-in\/ski-out resort recently underwent a $50 million overhaul, so what was once a charming 21-room boutique hotel has been transformed into a luxury resort with 77 guest rooms, two restaurants, a pool, game room, movie room, fire pits, ski lockers with boot warmers and more. It even has its own Snowpine Lift for direct access to the slopes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viceroy Snowmass: Snowmass Village, CO<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Unwind by a roaring fire with a hot toddy in hand after an exhilarating day on the mountain. Viceroy Snowmass<\/a> offers full-service luxury with accessibility to the slopes, fine-dining options, a relaxing spa, heated pool and upscale lodging. Located in Snowmass Village, one of the resort\u2019s newest features is its open-air bar situated right on the slopes of Snowmass. Lift tickets are valid at four Aspen Snowmass ski areas, featuring 339 trails within a 10-mile radius.<\/span><\/p>\n
