Travel tech gadgets can simplify travel a great deal. Our own Gnational Gnomad, Meagan from Mommy Travels, was just at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), and she found lots of new tech travel gear. Now she’s sharing some of her favorites finds with us! <\/i><\/p>\n

Every year I am amazed by all the creative ideas I come across at CES each year. This year I found some new tech travel items and discovered a few that have been on the market a while, but I\u2019ve never seen before. I consider these to be some of the best travel items from CES 2019.<\/div>\n

Travel Tech Gadgets<\/strong><\/h2>\n

nomadplug<\/strong><\/h3>\n

nomadplug travel adaptor<\/p><\/div>\n

There is nothing worse than getting to a hotel only to discover that you do not have the right adaptor. The nomadplug<\/a> is a travel adaptor that works in 195 different countries, ensuring that you are highly likely to have the one you need when you need it. Plus, who wants 10 or more adaptors laying around the house when you can have just one? This is currently pre-production, and hopefully it won’t be much longer before it is on the market.<\/p>\n

Pelgium Smart Pepper Spray<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s face it, not everywhere we travel to is a safe place to be. If you are worried about your safety, I recommend getting one of these smart pepper sprays. When you use it, it notifies your emergency contacts that you are in danger, and it has a siren that goes off that also screams in a human voice so people nearby know it isn\u2019t a car alarm. The smart pepper sprayer also has strobe LED lights to help you see where to spray your attacker and confide them.<\/p>\n

ClearUP<\/strong><\/h3>\n

ClearUP sinus relief device<\/p><\/div>\n

If you are anything like me, traveling does things to your sinuses, and it\u2019s not great. Later this year, FDA approved ClearUP<\/a> is going to solve this problem. To use it you glide it along the outside of the nasal passages: the cheek, nose and brow bone. It delivers low current electrical waveforms that stimulate the nerves under the skin to help relieve sinus pain. It’s so tiny that you can take it anywhere, including on a plane. ClearUP will be available over-the-counter without a prescription by mid-2019.<\/p>\n

If you are forgetful, these Bluetooth trackers are for you. Adero<\/a> can turn any bag into a smart bag. You can stick these little trackers onto all kinds of items including your passport and medicine. These items are tracked with a sensor that you can keep in your bag. When you are ready, check the app, and make sure you are not missing something. The app will alert you to any forgotten items.<\/p>\n

LG Gram 17″ Ultra-Lightweight Laptop<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When you are traveling, it\u2019s nice to pack as light as possible, and one of the heaviest items in my backpack always seems to be my computer. Now wouldn\u2019t it be nice if you had a lightweight computer? Now you can with the world\u2019s lightest 17\u201d screen laptop. It weighs just 2.75 pounds.<\/p>\n

Ovis: AI-Powered Suitcase<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So, many people wanted to see the Ovis suitcase by ForwardX<\/a> that I never got too close, but I didn’t have to. I stood back and watched the suitcase follow around the guy it was assigned to. It’s a hands-free suitcase with artificial intelligence that helps it follow you and avoid obstacles. That’s right, it follows you instead of you having to pull it. It is TSA approved, but I am not sure if it can keep up if you are making a mad dash through the airport to make a tight connection.<\/p>\n

Never have a dead battery again. This tiny little device will jump start most vehicles and it\u2019s idiot proof. If you do not connect the cables correctly, it will not jump the car.<\/p>\n

Elvie Pump<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Okay, this was not created to ease a road trip, but nonetheless, it does. One of the worst parts of road trips when my kids were babies was having to stop and nurse or pump. Now you can pump almost anywhere with the Elvie Pump, the world\u2019s first silent, hands-free, smart breast pump. It was recently approved by the FDA and starts shipping in February.<\/p><\/div>\n

Camping Tech<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The worst part of camping for me is when the batteries start dying, and my phone dies. This product happens to solve both problems. It\u2019s a light that is solar powered and has a USB port to charge your phone. Luci Connect<\/a> harnesses the power of the sun, storing solar energy in a 7.4Wh lithium-ion battery. How cool is that?<\/p>\n

Jackery Portable Power Station<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Did I mention that I do not like it when my phone dies? This bad boy can charge everything! It\u2019s powerful enough to charge smartphones, laptops, Gopro, drones, projectors, a mini-fridge, or any other number of small power appliances. The portable power station is handy in many travel situations like RVing, camping, or boating.<\/p>\n

Cinemood<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I picture families using this product for camping. I suppose there are many other uses, but I see it showing up on the side of a tent. The Cinemood<\/a> displays a 12-foot projection on any flat surface in the dark. You do not have to worry about the battery dying mid-movie with its 5-hour rechargeable battery.<\/p>\n

Rova Cooler<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you are a hard core hunter or camper, this cooler is for you. You can go completely off-the-grid and keep everything inside your cooler nice and cold with the new Rova cooler<\/a>. It has a lithium-ion battery operating it to keep beverages cold for a week! The cooler has a built-in charging station with a USB and Qi wireless charger.<\/p>\n
