We sent men’s lifestyle and travel blogger Joe Miragliotta of JoesDaily.com down to Los Cabos with his wife Sarah to explore what a romantic escape for two would look like.<\/i><\/p>\n

How to Get to Los Cabos<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before we get into the romantic side of Los Cabos, I figured I should touch on how to get there first. Since this was my first trip to Los Cabos, I did quite a bit of research on how to get there. I knew it was on the southern tip of the 1,000 mile long Baja Peninsula, but had no idea how long it would take to get there from Los Angeles. The Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) has approximately 550 weekly operations that serve 40 destinations. SJD is located just 8 miles north from San Jose del Cabo and 23 miles from Cabo San Lucas, so whichever town you choose to stay in you won’t be far from the airport.<\/p>\n

Our flight from LAX to SJD<\/a> took just over two hours. Sarah and I barely had enough time to finish our in-flight movies it was that quick.<\/p>\n

To and From the Airport<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A question I get asked often is what is the best way to get to and from the resort. I recommend the ‘Local Experts’ from Gray Line. They were prompt, friendly, and best of all, knowledgable. Our ride took us roughly 20 minutes to our resort, and within that time we learned so much about Los Cabos. I’d say your best bet is to book transportation as soon as you book your resort so you can have the piece of mind of knowing you won’t have to deal with the taxi drivers hounding you after arriving in SJD. If you have ever been to Mexico before you will know that they can get pretty aggressive.<\/p>\n

Where to Stay in Los Cabos<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our week in Los Cabos had us resting our heads at the gorgeous all-inclusive luxury resort, Paradisus Los Cabos<\/a>. There we were given the Royal Service treatment, which included a personal butler and exclusive access to restaurants and the Royal Service pool.<\/p>\n

Imagine waking up every morning to a swim-up pool and the beautiful view of the ocean. Not bad, right?<\/p>\n

Paradisus Los Cabos offers a wide variety of dining experiences. Everything from 24-hour room service to Michelin-rated Chef Martin Berasategui’s Gastro Bar, you can be sure that one of their seven restaurants and seven bars will fill whatever craving you’re having.<\/p>\n

I should mention that Paradisus Los Cabos is a kid-friendly resort<\/a>, though when we were there we didn’t see many kids running around. Still, if a kid-friendly resort vacation isn’t in the cards for your romantic getaway, then fear not, because we have other recommendations.<\/p>\n

Just a short drive away from Paradisus is the Le Blanc Spa Resort<\/a>, an all-inclusive luxury resort specifically made with couples in mind. Jump to the next section to see photos from our couples massage and hydrotherapy treatment at Le Blanc.<\/p>\n

Book a Couples Massage (and Hydrotherapy)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Is there anything better than a good massage<\/a> while on vacation? How about enjoying one side by side with your significant other? Sarah and I were treated to a wonderful couples massage at the Le Blanc Spa Resort<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before we got into our treatment room together, we had the pleasure of experiencing Le Blanc’s hydrotherapy in our respective sides of the spa. I particularly enjoyed having a glass of champagne with Sarah in the hot tub while we waited for our massage therapists to prepare our room.<\/p>\n

Go on a Sunset Cruise<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of my favorite things to do in Mexico is to go on a cruise. There’s nothing quite like drinking a glass of champagne while you take in the salty air with your loved one. On this particular trip our entire group of Gnomads boarded a beautiful French-made sail boat, owned by Cabo Adventures. It was their Luxury Sunset Sailing<\/a> package, which featured a welcome mimosa, open bar, and cute bento boxes for two. Every single part of the voyage was made for social sharing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Though Sarah and I were not on a romantic sailing just the two of us, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Cabo Adventures for both groups and couples.<\/p>\n

Dine at a Michelin Star Restaurant<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Inside of the Paradisus Resort you will find the Gastro Bar by Mart\u00edn Berasategui, a 10-time Michelin star chef. This is just one of the many amazing culinary experiences<\/a> to enjoy in Cabo. The restaurant seats only 44 people, so be sure to make your reservations as soon as you arrive to the resort. It’s a popular venue and can get filled up fast.<\/p>\n

The cuisine is labeled as contemporary Basque, something I never heard of until this particular trip. Like the name suggests, Gastro Bar features numerous dishes with molecular gastronomy. See below:<\/p>\n

Similar to our sunset cruise, this was a group dinner with the rest of the Gnational Gnomads. The Gastro Bar is able to accommodate big groups, however they have plenty of options for tables of two.<\/p>\n

Our particular food journey had wine pairings throughout the entire dinner. They were chosen by the Gastro Bar’s head sommelier.<\/p>\n

Pay a Visit to Lover’s Beach<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Despite its name, Lover’s Beach isn’t some secluded quiet beach just for you and your significant other. However, it’s one of those spots in Los Cabos you just have to see. Getting there is fairly easy, too. Skip the pricier tour options and opt for a water taxi instead. Just be sure you pack everything you need, as Lover’s Beach won’t have a shop to buy food or sunscreen, etc.<\/p>\n
