To someone who’s never been, Israel might seem like another Middle Eastern nation, one embroiled in all the war, strife and tension that has come to define this region in our popular mindset. While parts of the Jewish state can unfortunately embody these qualities from time to time, Tel Aviv<\/a>, a sprawling coastal city whose world-class food scene, nightlife and beaches have earned it a reputation as the “Middle East’s Capital of Cool,” seems a million miles away from all that. As an added bonus, a few days in Tel Aviv puts the best of the rest of Israel only a short drive away\u2014the entire country is only about as big as New Jersey. If you haven’t thought to add Israel to your bucket list yet, we’re pretty sure the following photos will land it there soon.<\/p>\n
