Once somewhat of a secret before being featured in the 1960s film The Night of the Iguana<\/em>, the now ultra-popular Mexican hotspot ranks among the best for those seeking a little of everything from their escape \u2014 from beautiful beaches to stunning architecture to incredible aquatic adventures. And though we\u2019ve scoured the entire globe for our favorite tropical getaways, we still can\u2019t help but agree. Puerto Vallarta is indeed paradise on earth. May we count the reasons why? \u2026 there are plenty of incredibly beautiful beaches to choose from, but the hidden one at La Playa Escondida Isla Marietas is just a bit more secluded.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

\u2026 culture abounds, and you\u2019ll find plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in it at the Los Arcos Amphitheater \u2014 featuring various live performances year-round.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

\u2026 the city is a foodie haven, with epic food tours <\/a>that will indulge your palate in flavors you\u2019ll continue craving for days. Bring your appetite!<\/p>\n\"\"\n

\u2026 the two-mile long stretch of white sand beach at Playa Las Animas is unbelievably picturesque, and the perfect perch for relaxing or exploring.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

\u2026 visitors during annual turtle breeding season (July \u2013 December) may have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of newborn hatchlings, and even participate in guiding them from nest to sea alongside conservation experts.<\/p>\n\"\"\n
