I\u2019ll be taking a tour of Plaza de Espa\u00f1a in the heart of the colonial zone, followed by a visit to Urban Health at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelocity.com\/Santo-Domingo-Hotels-Barcelo-Santo-Domingo.h892135.Hotel-Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barcel\u00f3 Santo Domingo<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was a quick stay, but I\u2019ll already be moving on to the next property at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelocity.com\/Punta-Cana-Hotels-Barcelo-Bavaro-Palace-All-Inclusive.h2438582.Hotel-Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barcel\u00f3 B\u00e1varo Palace<\/a>, situated on B\u00e1varo Beach in Punta Cana.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This luxury hotel has its own casino on property, so I think I\u2019ll try my luck at the tables! I just might need a boost up to reach them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>March 21<\/h2>\n<p>Waking up to a view of the beach and the sparkling Caribbean Sea isn\u2019t a bad way to start the morning, eh?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With&nbsp;four swimming pools and two water parks, this resort is perfect&nbsp;for my amphibious lifestyle. I&#8217;ll start by taking a dip&nbsp;in the adults-only pool.&nbsp;After that, I&#8217;ll be ready to make a splash&nbsp;at the&nbsp;new Pirates Island Water Park!<\/li>\n<li>This kid-friendly hotel has&nbsp;a range of room layouts that are great for accommodating families. If you&#8217;re a solo traveler like myself, don&#8217;t be deterred. They also offer a variety&nbsp;of luxury suites designed for those of us traveling sans kids!<\/li>\n<li>With an entire shopping center on the first floor of the hotel, I\u2019ll have no excuse not to bring back plenty of souvenirs! Today I\u2019ll spend my time exploring the fourth property, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelocity.com\/Punta-Cana-Hotels-Barcelo-Bavaro-Beach-Adults-Only-All-Inclusive.h852099.Hotel-Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barcel\u00f3 B\u00e1varo Beach<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I have several opportunities for lounging and relaxing at this resort, and I anticipate taking advantage of all of them, starting with my very own private hammock on the terrace of my&nbsp;Superior Sun Deck Sea View Premium Level Room.<\/li>\n<li>I can\u2019t leave without spending time on the beach and taking in the gorgeous view. There\u2019s a pier overlooking&nbsp;the ocean that makes for a perfect photo op.<\/li>\n<li>After such a strenuous morning, my next stop is the USpa for a rejuvenating facial.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019ll finish out the day with a show at the Gran Teatro B\u00e1varo, which puts on spectacular performances with dancers, live music and a different show every night!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>March 23<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s my last day in the Dominican Republic, but a busy one, nonetheless! My first stop is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelocity.com\/Punta-Cana-Hotels-Occidental-Caribe-All-Inclusive.h897662.Hotel-Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Occidental Caribe<\/a> on the stunning Playa Arena Gorda, considered to be one of the best beaches on the island.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are endless activities at the hotel, but I\u2019ve got my eye on the trapeze exercises.&nbsp;Watch me&nbsp;fly through the air with the greatest of ease!<\/li>\n<li>The culinary options are tremendous at this resort! I\u2019m most&nbsp;looking forward to dining at Marenostrum with a breathtaking ocean view.<\/li>\n<li>Two large lagoon-style pools and one kids pool are located only yards away from the beach, making it easy to bounce back and forth.&nbsp;The children&#8217;s slide at the kids pool is the perfect size for gnomes too. And luckily, with my stature, I always meet&nbsp;the height requirement!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Moving on to the next hotel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelocity.com\/Punta-Cana-Hotels-Occidental-Punta-Cana-All-Inclusive-Resort.h693601.Hotel-Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Occidental Punta Cana<\/a> will be my last stop of the trip.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outdoor adventure awaits, so I\u2019ll head to the water for snorkeling, kayaking and other water sports at B\u00e1varo Beach.<\/li>\n<li>My final farewell will be spent relaxing at the Royal Level Lounge.
