New York State<\/h3>\n

Head upstate to the 6,000 square miles of beauty in southeastern New York known as the Catskills for a spectacular view of fall splendor. You’ll catch the area awash in colorful leaves from late September to late October. To take advantage of all this leafy bounty, base yourself in one of these Cooperstown hotels<\/a>. The quaint Cooperstown (home of the Baseball Hall of Fame) is located in the northern foothills of the Catskills, and the area\u2019s natural beauty offers the perfect setting to watch the leaves\u2019 seasonal show. North Carolina<\/h3>\n

In North Carolina, it\u2019s not about when visitors find the most vibrant autumn colors, but where. That\u2019s because the brilliant annual show of reds, oranges and golds takes its time, starting at the highest elevations such as Mount Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain in early October and meandering down through mountains and into the foothills into November.
