Stunning Property
The drive up to the property and the property itself were gorgeous. The rustic touches throughout the house with the modern amenities was nice. Although the property sleeps a large group, there was only seating at the table for 6, I think. I do not recall for sure because we just had to start adjusting seating, immediately. My almost 80 y.o. FIL managed the amount of steps well, but almost slipped in the mid-level shower. My 28 y.o. niece was also leery of the shower, as she commented on the base being slick too. The upstairs tub was also slick, because my 5 y.o. granddaughter climbed in, with her Mom right there, and immediately slipped onto her back. Additionally, the way the steps are cut out and carpeted almost caused several falls from adults and children. When concerns about the stairs were mentioned to the property manager and that it should be in the listing, the response was only, "We bought the house 5 years ago. The steps are the same as when we bought it. This is the 1st comment on them." The expected response was, thank you, we will take it into consideration. Although stairs are not an issue, we would NOT have booked there if we had known about the funky stairs. As listed, there are ALOT of stairs or steps to navigate on the property, and not a single main floor bedroom.To return to the positive notes, the kitchen w/dishwasher, beds for everyone, and the wildlife! The wildlife was fantastic - deer, turkey, and a photogenic fox!!!
