A world of fun for all the family, this vast amusement complex offers seemingly endless options for dining, entertainment and shopping.
Broadway at the Beach is a sprawling, family-friendly entertainment center set around Lake Broadway.
The complex attracts millions of visitors each year, including both locals and tourists. Constructed in 1996, it was originally planned as a center built around movie theaters. Although there are two cinemas on site, one of which is an IMAX Theater, Broadway at the Beach has expanded to incorporate a wide range of amenities and attractions.
The complex is a perfect outing for rainy days, as many of the attractions are indoors. There’s a lot of ground to cover, so wear comfortable shoes and allow plenty of time to explore the many activities.
Explore the different areas, such as Heroes Harbor and Caribbean Village. If you’re visiting with kids, check out Ripley's Aquarium. MagiQuest is also great family fun, offering a fantasyland with a live action role-playing game.
Many of the areas feature a mix of places to shop, eat and play. Browse the array of independent stores throughout these areas and you’re sure to find travel souvenirs and unusual holiday gifts. Celebrity Square is the center for nightlife and entertainment and stays lively until late.
Enjoy coffee, candy or ice cream from the many vendors or cafés around the complex. There are plenty of great restaurant dining options too, including Hard Rock Café and Planet Hollywood.
Entry to Boardwalk on the Beach is free, with ticket prices varying for individual attractions. The complex is just a short drive east from downtown Myrtle Beach and there is free parking in a large lot. The Myrtle Beach Connector bus stops at the Broadway at the Beach visitor center as well as other downtown attractions.
