Newport on the Levee

This entertainment complex includes cinemas, dance clubs, bowling alleys, shops and an outside area with bars, an aquarium and restaurants.

Newport on the Levee has a multitude of entertainment options, including a theater and aquarium, as well as a shopping area with boutique stores. Each year over three million visitors come here for the fashion, food, arcade games and family attractions. Come to people-watch and admire views over the Cincinnati skyline.

This complex opened in 2001 with a huge entertainment and retail space, designed to attract people of all ages. Come in the afternoon to browse the shops, which offer boutique-style items. The Art at the Levee gallery features local paintings, sculptures and ceramics. Stock up on local wines, or pick up jewelry and clothes from faraway locations such as Peru, India and Indonesia.

Take your pick from over a dozen restaurants and cafés. Sample fresh seafood from the fish market or try Asian dishes. Arrive in the early evening for Happy Hour, when many of the bars serve cheap drinks.

For a laugh, check out what’s on at the Funny Bone Comedy Club. The venue is renowned for hosting local and national talent and holds shows from Thursday to Sunday.

Older children can visit the teen nightclub, which is alcohol-free and plays contemporary music for 14 to 19 year olds. The entire family will love the range of films that show at the 20-screen cinema complex.

Newport on the Levee is located in Kentucky, a 10-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati, crossing the Dan C. Beard Bridge over the Ohio River.
