Knott's Berry Farm

Experience state-of-the-art thrill rides and California’s pioneering past at one of America’s oldest and best-loved theme parks.

Knott’s Berry Farm started in the 1940s as a ghost town built to entertain diners waiting for a table at Mrs Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. It has progressively grown into an American theme park favorite, offering thrill rides and a unique insight into California’s cultural heritage and pioneering past. Knott’s Berry Farm is divided around five themed zones. Start your day exploring the park’s heart and soul, the Ghost Town. The far-sighted Knott’s family bought up many abandoned Arizona houses and relocated them here, preserving them for future generations. Be transported back in time by Native American storytellers and high-tech Wizardry at the Mystery Lodge, watch costumed craftspeople ply pioneer trades in the living history booths, and cheer bucking bronco riders at the Fool's Gold Stunt Show. Get wet on the terrifying white waters of the Bigfoot Rapids, and “reach for the sky” during a hold up on the Calico Railroad.Head for the palm trees of The Boardwalk, a celebration of Californian beach culture. Feel the G-forces on the famous Boomerang and Supreme Scream rides. Catch your breath and take in panoramic views of the entire park on the Sky Cabin.Head south of the border to the Fiesta Village to enjoy the atmosphere of California’s Spanish Mission era. Explore the Indian Trails cultural area where the stories, arts and foods of America’s First Peoples are authentically celebrated. Little thrill-seekers will delight in Camp Snoopy®, a theme park created especially for younger children. Be sure to pack your swimming costume because there’s also Knott’s Soak City Water Park. Themed around 1950s surf culture, this 13-acre (5-hectare) collection of flumes, slides and wave pools is a full-day destination in itself. Knott’s Berry Farm is in Buena Park, a 10-minute drive north of Disneyland Park. You can pay to park on site, or catch a Metrolink train to the nearby Buena Park station. The admission fee covers all rides and attractions, except the Knott’s Soak City Water Park. Operating hours vary throughout the year, so check the website before planning your day.
