the stay was great in old Dubai

Pros: being within walking distant of any and everything you could possible need or want.
Cons: not a lot i would think needs to improve
the hotel was in walking distant of a lot of things to see and do.hotel services offered a lot of tours. i highly recommend the safari and tour of the city. staff was great helpful with what ever i needed.1 week wasn't enough to do everything, but you can pack in a lot if you chose to. if you want it's 24 market not far from hotel, just a delightful place and area of town.

Good, clean hotel in an older neighborhood

I really don't have anything bad to say about the hotel itself. It was clean, the bed was comfortable but I would not stay here again, for my overall experience, there are better hotels. We were in town for a friend's birthday and she booked this hotel well in advance and we thought it best to all stay at the same place. I didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff but they were nice enough at check-in, no complaints, no waiting, no lines. The Al Khoory Executive is a dry hotel, so there is no bar. This will be important to some people, others could care less. If you're coming to Dubai to party for the weekend, this is probably not the hotel for you. The breakfast buffet was sub-par. My room service order wasn't that tasty either. You have to use your room key to access the elevator, which is not necessarily a bad thing, unless the rest of your party is on another floor. Luckily this hotel is only 3 floors but who wants to walk up and down stairs. It is in a neighborhood so there is a mosque directly across the street and you are reminded of this every morning at 4:30am. I may be off an hour or two but you get the point. It also is not in the rail line, so taxis everywhere. The price is really right and like I said before the hotel is clean and comfortable, so if you need a room for the night or you want to be away for the busyness of Dubai, this is your place.
