Inn of California

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Brighten rooms ... Drapes were very unattractive. More outlets REALLY NEEDED!
Location: End of town, can walk there. Gas, restaurants, banks, church, park, shops, transportation At walking distance. 15 min to casino. One hr to History
I was surprised how nice it was after a 2 rating. Not fancy, older furniture and equipment but it all worked! Nestled on side of a hill, continental breakfast, clean pool and stay. Good stay for low cost.

This is an older establishment, very well cared for and the staff is amazing - friendly, helpful and full of local knowledge. Facility is comfortable, clean and unbeatable for the price.

Dirty, Outdated & filthy pool. Breakfast was abyssmal. We were kindly "upgraded" to a "better" room by the staff when we checked in. Staff were extremely nice and helpful about local suggestions. The room however, left a LOT to be desired. The beds seemed clean, but the carpets were sticky, the bathroom had a lot of issues and the AC was noisy. It kept the room "cold and clammy." Breakfast was supposed to be contienental, but given the competition of hotel breakfasts this was a meager slice of toast and bitter coffee. It wasn't even worth walking over to the 2nd building to get it. The hotel shouldn't even list it as an amenity--it's pretty pathetic. The pool was a sickly green and we realized that it probably wasn't chlorinated or filtered. Could be a major perk for the hotel if they could just keep it respectable. We constantly had to have our room cards re-keyed---they were overly sensitive to electronics (like cell phones), especially when keeping them in a purse or pocket. This was a slight inconvenience and more annoying than anything. NO PET FRIENDLY AREAS to relieve your dog. Though it's a pet-friendly place, you're going to have to walk a few blocks to find a non-private area. This was REALLY inconvenient. It's all concrete, and on 90-100 degree days this makes it extremely inconvenient. This is the first time I've been truly let down by the quality of a hotel on Travelocity. Also, our room was never serviced!

We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your feedback regarding the complimentary continental breakfast. We are looking into new options for the breakfast. Thank you for your comments on the dog area, we do have a small area at the back of our property, its about 3 foot wide by 20 feet to relieve your dog. I do apologize that you were not told about this. We will be sure and educate the Front Desk.

Pros: The internet worked.
Cons: Almost everything!
Location: We were just passing through.
We found the hotel run down and overpriced. The room smelled horrible and in need of an update. Fortunately it seemed fairly clean. The road was very noisy. Breakfast was a joke! I don't think a coffee pot and a toaster set up in the laundry room counts as breakfast! Be prepared to feel ripped-off.

Not worth the money

Pros: Leaving
Cons: new beds
The staff was the best part of our stay. The beds felt like the spring were ready to pop out of the mattress. The room was not sound proof by any stretch of the imagination. You could hear the people talking next door, the people upstairs were so loud we had to call the office at 10:15 and it still went on for a half an hour. There were people walking by the room outside it sounded like they were in the room. People walking their dog letting it jump on our door and barking till late and early in the morning. I stayed here before with no trouble, I will look at other hotels next time. Breakfast was toast, cereal. Coffee juice and apples.

A Decent Hotel at a Reasonable Price

Pros: Reasonably priced and clean.
Cons: Breakfast staff seemed like they just wanted to go.
We just stayed here overnight. Arrived late and left in the morning. Check in was okay. Had called ahead to get a roll-away bed in the room but it wasn't there. Night clerk helped but grudgingly, like this wasn't his job. Room was clean but very cramped with the roll-away. It was pretty comfortable. The public areas of the hotel were in good shape. The continental breakfast was minimal, and cut off at exactly the appointed time. People that arrived behind us by ten minutes were turned away. Breakfast staff seemed to be trying to get away from there. Overall and acceptable stay.
