Good breakfast and friendly service easy access to transit. The room is small, but enough for us and it does not take too much time to warm up.

I have stayed at the Cinnamon Bear twice now, once two years ago, and just this past weekend. Both times have been great. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are comfortable, the common room is inviting, and the food is terrific. I will absolutely look them up when passing through Mammoth again!

Classic touch!

This was fun, one forgets how simple things used to be, the fixtures and little things we took as modern. One needs to experience that, the hospitality, and food were off the charts delicious, the memories were just fun.

Excellent customer service!

Pros: Lauren, the room, the cheese, wine, and omelets
Cons: Maybe some music in the main room. Eerie quiet.
Location: Tucked away behind a shell station on your way up to Mammoth Mountain. We went to a local hot spring and went snowboarding.
Booked last minute through Travelocity. Arrived at the hotel and greeted by Lauren. Probably the most cheery person I have ever met. She upgraded us to a bigger room as I was checking in. She notified us that there would be cheese, crackers, and wine in the afternoon. That was definitely a bonus to have after we unloaded our stuff. After the wine and cheese, we headed out for dinner to a place recommended by none other than Lauren! Then in the morning there were omelets cooked by the kitchen. At any given time there was an assortment of tea, coffee, juice, and cereal. So here's where the customer service really shined out. We checked out at 10AM, hit the slopes at Mammoth Mountain, then went to get a postcard. The post office was swamped, so we stopped by the Cinnamon Bear Inn to see if we could buy a stamp from them. The hotel itself didn't have any stamps, but Lauren went out of her way and into the snow to her car to help me out. She gave me one of her stamps and even sent my mail out for me! Also, even though I didn't use it, the hot tub looked fantastic. tl;dr Got a free room upgrade, wine and cheese, fresh cooked breakfast, and a stamp.

Clean, cozy and quiet!

Our room was very clean, not a hair found anywhere. The bed was firm and comfortable. It was very quiet. We left both windows open all night long and didn't hear anything. We used the hot tub both nights. Awesome! I can't forget to mention the delightful homade breakfast (french toast and omlettes). We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

A very pleasant visit!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, friendly staff
Cons: no ac
We had a four-night stay at this bed and breakfast in early September and had quite a pleasant experience. Set in a relatively quiet area just off the main drag and next to a wooded meadow, the Cinnamon Bear is run by a very cordial and helpful innkeeper who is supported by a small but friendly staff. The room was cozy and clean, the bed was very comfortable and everything in the room worked as it was supposed to. And, every morning we were treated to a tasty hot breakfast, including omelets and berry pancakes. On the downside, since the building is fairly old it does not have sound-proof walls and ceilings, so if you’re a light sleeper you might consider bringing ear plugs. The décor is a bit dated, but that could describe much of the town of Mammoth Lakes. One thing you should know is that the Inn is not air conditioned (again, apparently fairly common in Mammoth Lakes), which may be a factor if you’re visiting the area during the middle of summer. AC was not necessary during our stay. The wireless Internet connection was a little weak, but it never dropped while I was using it. Still, the property is close to many restaurants and within easy driving distance to many beautiful hiking trails (the focus of our vacation), so the convenience and comfort of the Cinnamon Bear suited our needs extremely well.
