A nice place to stay but could use a few things.

Pros: I loved the old fashioned paneling and the closeness of the inn to the town center.
Cons: Clean the bathrooms up.
Prior to booking I read many of the reviews from previous clients and the negative ones concerned me. I was hoping those issues had been addressed by the Innkeeper. Once I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the inn. It was well decorated and seemed to be well maintained. However there were three issues I feel folks should be aware of. The first issue concerns the location of the room in relation to the road.The 2 rooms in the front of the inn are subject to a high degree of road noise. The road carries a lot of truck traffic and when they go by, they can become quite bothersome. So when booking a room try to get a room in the rear of the inn. The next issue deals with the cleanliness of the bathroom and that's a biggie for me. When I went in to inspect the shower, I immediately noticed two dirty washcloths hanging over the wall of the shower stall. That was disconcerting as I became concerned that the shower stall may never had been fully cleaned from the previous occupants. As I continued to look around I noticed a significant amount of mold growing on the bathroom's walls and ceilings. The mold issue Lastly, it would have been nice to have been able to eat breakfast there. Having no cook, the Innkeeper has made arrangements for his guests to eat at a local restaurant. Regrettably, the food there wasn't all that great. Regardless, it is still a nice place to visit and I would recommend it to all.
